Your using Seagate Drives - their DiscWizard program is Free and a cutdown version of Acronis True Image
I'm not sure if that will do the OS side of things as your looking to do or not but worth looking into.
Sure someone here will know.

Edit - sounds like it will- PDF here-
DiscWizard also lets you transfer your data to your new Seagate disc drive in minutes. The
software migrates everything – your operating systems, applications, documents and
personal setting – to your new disc drives just as you had them. After you migrate, you can
keep using your PC just like before. You can then keep your old drive as a backup or use
DiscWizard to store your image backups

Only one of the drives has to be a Seagate or Maxtor

What a letdown.

I downloaded it and it tells me that "To use the product, at least one Seagate or Maxtor device should be installed in your system."

I have TWO Seagates in my system.

I'm now downloading Acronis True image on a 4Mb line and it's coming down at a whopping 30kB/s! :(

This sucks balls..

30KB/s from the Acronis site? That's way too slow to be normal...

Yup. Straight from the Acronis site. Would ou mind just downloading the first 5MBs and see if you also get the same speed (if you also have a 4Mb line of course).

DiscWizard downloaded at full speed though.

feo first choice

acronis true image

dont use anything else

It works ok with my Acer but can't boot up except in Safe Mode on
my Panasonic Core2Duo. It took a week for Acronis support to get me
to download a patch which allows me to boot their product from CD/DVD.
