Best Wifi Router

I recommend buying from Uniterm Direct (dbg ...)

I'd rather buy from http://www.dbg.co.za/contact_us.php?osCsid=1fa180c06222bfbe4c26cd5e4cf377ce
You should be able to get 10% off these prices, if you include your MyBroadband username on the order (check with them, if it's still applicable).

Plus, as you're in JHB, you won't need to pay for delivery if you can collect it yourself. These prices exclude VAT, as far as I remember, so account for that.

The one for R409 + VAT should be more than good enough :

I've purchased a TP-Link router (only, not ADSL2+) from them in the past, advice & service was good including very fast delivery. Worked well, and still have it (as a backup).

Would have recommended the D-Link 2740U on the link you provided, as I bought one a few weeks ago, and working very well. However, I bought it from a retailer called Kloppers who aren't in JHB. They're selling them for R499 , compared to these online retailers selling them for over R600 for some reason :

R644 here .. http://www.wootware.co.za/catalogsearch/result/?cat=&q=modem+router
Bought something else from them, and also very good advice / service / delivery times.

EDIT : this thread should probably be moved by a mod. from this Broadband & IT News section

I recently bought two Wireless N150 Tenda D151 routers (Broadcom BCM6318 processor) from Russ-AL PCs (~R350) and I have been very happy with the performance. Some of the slightly more expensive Wireless N300 models such as the D301 and D303 (~R450) also include a USB port.

Alternatively there are many new and secondhand Telkom routers (Aztech, Billion, D-Link, Netgear etc.) available on Gumtree for <R300.

Takealot used to have a Trendnet router for around R300 a while back. I used one of those for a long time till Mweb gave me a free Fon router.
