I wanted to get your opinions on which one is best.

I have played both and there are a few big differences that I notice.

BFBC 2 - Gameplay more realistic
- Physics are better
- UI is easier to navigate
- Team "togetherness" is stronger and tighter.

Black Ops well... I have failed to notice anything great about it.

Opinions?

well BFBC2 is more team based.
Cod is more like an arcade shooter made for people who don't understand teamwork and tactics.

like some random gamer on the internet said.Cod:camper behind a wall.BFBC2:what wall?

:D

QFT.

I still play BC2 whereas I uninstalled BOPS. Too arcadey, single for me.

This thread is such flame bait...
*grabs popcorn*

Lol...

I never played online FPS before BFBC2, So when I first played it I was like this is the most awesome game ever and I played it untill I got to about level 35... I loved everything about it, the well made maps, the team based style of play, and all the free maps. Then the vietnam expansion came out and I loved that too..

Then black ops came out and ruined all of that for me... I just realised that I prefer doing things on my own and in black ops my score is directly related to how well/badly I play and doesn't rely on my team... this combined with the speed of black ops and sniper mechanics has made me not revisit BFBC2... I did visit it briefly one afternoon for a few maps but just couldn't get over the no strafing while running and the walking pace at which you do run... this was never an issue while playing the game but after black ops I noticed it a lot more...

Both are epic games, and the engine behind bad company 2 is the best of any shooter ever, BF3 is going to be an all time great... but black ops is like crack.

is basically what it boils down to. COD is a map full of peeps doings their own thing. Getting 50 kills and killstreaks and feeling l33t. BC2, you are part of team and feels more like war. You need to supply/heal/support your team mates if you want to survive and win. Bullets drops over distance and vehiclular combat. And if you played BF2, which I think will be in BF3 as well, you can add a battle commander and jets to that experience as well. No two battles in Battlefield ever feel the same where COD gets old real quick. My 2c

I really think you guys should get a job. 12:30 in the morning? CMON! Oh and BFBC2 is way better than COD. If you are good in BF you will rock in COD. You have to think more apart from just running around and shooting anything that moves...yes I've been hit with friendly fire in COD a ton of times!

Agreed BFBC2 is a much much better game, much more enjoyable and long lasting, its kinda time they add new maps
but I doubt since BF3 is being released soon ... the COD series is just becoming a huge disappointment

When you play blops in the NGL league, there is no lone ranger shyte...

+1 to what dooby said.

S&D makes COD one of the best TEAM based games IMHO. BC2 is fail in terms of the game types - because Rush is spawn rape waiting to happen and Conquest is a camper's wet dream. Each franchise has it's own followers and thank goodness for that because what would life be without variety?

Besides in BC you get to sit next to your ammo crate and spam nades/tubes until someone eventually takes you out. No teamwork in that really. The couple of times I tried to get into the whole BC2 thing I got so frustrated by my team mates just leaving me to die and waiting a slow and agonizing 8 seconds until you can respawn was just no fun - or even worse, a sniper takes you out because he is camping your spawn and a team mate revives you just for the same sniper to take you out all over again.... Rinse and repeat until rage quit happens and you break your headphones....

In COD when you are dead you are dead. No waiting around and seeing if someone is going to save your bacon. You look after yourself a little more.

Ok, let me settle the debate.

BC2 is legendary and cod is like 'that band' that opens for Metallica. Its nice and might get somewhere sometime. But its not there.

So, have a nice cup of tea. Relax. And enjoy life knowing that this debate is settled and over and you feel fulfilled knowing BC2 is superior to all cod crap.

Thanks and have a nice day now

:edit - oh crap - wheres my flame armour.

Fell of my chair laughing after that one ... but most of us would agree with that shot and sweet description,
BC 2 is just an all rounder that is geared for a much more mature thinking soldier, tactics and team work
over run, shoot and hope you win!

edit: btw I have both games and by far BC2 is played the most

I play a bit of both, mainly BC2. CoD maps are a lot smaller and your paths through maps are limited, but rounds can be fast-paced and super intense which I really, really enjoy.

In BC2 the maps are huge and there are many ways to get to your objective/flag/enemy. BC2 is more team based and if you're owning and your team is bad you will likely lose. The game is a bit slower but if you're a forward running type player, BC2 is a fantastic game (esp with a 40mm shotgun). Its prettier, walls can be destroyed, big maps, vehicles, etc.

Nothing beats those Battlefield moments when you've taken out 4 players who've completely halted your attack and now you are able to press forward, and above you a chopper dog fight is happening, a tank is shooting shells and your whole team is making the move up to the next objective.

Campers are in both games and I find them more annoying in CoD. At least in BC2 you can take a different route and knife the camper :P

If the download is not too big I'll defiantly give it a go.

On BFBC2 versus COD BO, BC2 is defiantly better.

But if I've only got 5 - 10 min to play, then I go for Black Ops. Its a lot quicker to get into. You don't have to run for 2 minutes to get to the action.
