Big Afrihost ADSL problems

Well I'm not getting unshaped, prioritized business bandwidth (otherwise I would get my full 40Mb/s download speeds - if you go to my account and have a look), but still you expect me to fork out R2799 a month for a product which does not deliver because you have a problem... In what world is this correct!?

I think the reason have been discussed here at length, as well as the improvements you can look forward.
My previous offer still stands, you're more than welcome to PM me the details.

How is PMing the details going to fix this issue?
Comments in this thread make it seem as if Afrihost is really struggling to keep their customers happy. Hope the new upgrades will restore confidence for everyone when they are implemented.

@AfriGuy Is the planned network upgrades still in its conception phase? Is it the reason why no timeframes are attached?
Are there specific areas that are affected with poor service or is it the entire country?

Maybe a little goodwill gesture like a discount next month?

I have a better chance of getting pregnant that that EVER happening. MWEB told me to go f**k myself when I asked them that question a few years ago.

Understandable if the comments aren't the best, I don't think we'd expect love and hugs at this stage.
We're working to deliver something that will be out of this world though, then we'll expect some hugs ;)

My Telkom LTE just ran out of data, switch to ADSL and this is what I get. ADSL is just poor. Bring on the Fiber already!

More outer of this worlder than Afrihost Plus? Because to me that resulted in less for more.

Sorry to hear you feel that way :(
Can I ask how it's resulted in less value?

I got told that I'd need Afrihost Plus to carry on with double my data, then the promotion continued for everybody and it had no value for me.

Today I have quit my Afrihost account, and I will be recommending that friends and family do the same.
I am putting my money where my mouth is and voting with my wallet.

Your answering of questions is very selective and vague. It feels like dealing or arguing with a government party :/

How can Afrihost still advertise this product than, as unshaped (which is clearly not), prioritized bandwidth (which is non existing)??

I wonder if this can be referred to The Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa as misleading, because this product currently cant preform as advertised by Afrihost for months now?

I forgot to mention Afriguy, this problem is also only related to your uncapped solutions and not your capped accounts as per the same manager...

Makes you wonder...

I think this has been discussed at length already. The double data was always intended as a one off promotion, we could not simply turn this into a standard product.

If I've missed anything please shout, the threads have been massively busy so I'm trying to get answers out as quickly as possible.
The issues seen have been brought to light by us not only here, but also on the status page - we're well aware that the experience isn't as good as it could be - hence both this thread and Gian's thread.

If you want to go to the ASA I guess that's prerogative, we've been very transparent around what's been happening, what will happen and what we're doing to improve the overall experience. The fact remains though, that Capped and Business products are unshaped. From our previous chats, I was under the impression you'd PM with further details around what was discussed and with who?

Yes we know, and the problem is not with that. The problem is that ANY overseas site access, pretty much SUCKS.. e.g. Youtube, GMail, etc
