Major Internet outages in SA

Internet service provider (ISP) Afrihost and fibre network operator (FNO) MetroFibre reported high-impact fibre connectivity outages on Sunday, 14 September 2025.

Downdetector showed a big increase in user reports of issues with Afrihost services from around 09:00 in the morning.

It's the Status homepage. You need to change "Product DSL" to Fibre.

Oh, I thought you opened the article and was referring to the Afrihost status page showing Dsl and not Fibre.

See, this is the problem with all these providers... When the pawpaw hits the fan, and we request a proper update to the cause, no one ever gets told the truth about the outages!
