Big choice

What will happen when he has to go out and work, and he cannot get along with people?
Just sit at home?
 
Finish school... It might not be a NECESSARY condition for getting anywhere in life, but it certainly helps.

Plus, if he's really THAT into computers, he could really benefit from tertiary education in a field that really interests him. Not saying that tertiary education is the only way to learn about such things, but again, IT HELPS.

Make things more goal-oriented for him. Get it into his head that finishing school is a good idea, because it will open some doors for him to be able to do things he REALLY wants.

What kind of grades is he getting? What subjects is he taking?

Thats ok - your opinion is of little importance :D

Can't say I know many guys of my age who started with nothing, and have gotten to where I have - I can actually only think of one friend.

I had and have little faith in South African education.
 
I think homeschooling is best!!!

But then again he is a bit old to adapt to homeschooling and it might be very difficult to get into that discipline... i am homeschooled (grade 12) and am absolutely enjoying it. And although i am not the most noisy one in the group once i get used to people (ask Lord-Nikon, Anubis, Reeseling, Vero, how much more i interact the more i get used to them)

So yeah i think it depends from kid to kid. go see someone about it don't just make a leap and hope for the best. if you would like more info on home schooling options pm me, i can try and help.

Erm, no offense dude, but if my kid comes to me with *** like that I'll probably just slap him upside the head and say he is going end of story.

If I made it through 10 years of torture I'm sure he will do fine. **** like this teaches you how to handle yourself around other people. It pushes you to see how far you will go before you snap and ANY person willing to hide away from a challenge like that won't grow up to face adversity but to run away from it.

Good luck having your kid stay with you for the rest of your life because you'll be taking care of him for a long long time.
