No, it still needs communication which failed here.

My contract states mtn may increase the price.
The issue is that their communication doesn't clearly state for some people what their increases are and therefore I believe it falls into breach of contract.

MTN published a list of tables on its website, which showed the old and new prices. These price changes were in line with the average 5% increase.
However, an unpleasant surprise awaited many MTN contract subscribers in May.
Their bills increased by far higher than 5%. In fact, MTN increased the price of some of its contract products by over 20%.
Is it the government's fault that MTN are adding 5% to some made up price rather than to the price the customer is paying?Welcome to economics 101. MTN is not to blame. Blame the government.

Headline price (discounted) versus actual price (base) - both are communicated in the contract you sign. One price increase communicated, another received.

Contract states I have to give mtn 20 business days to rectify the issue if they in breach of contract, but doesn't state who you have to contact.Communicate this to the relevant ombudsman.
Does this apply to phone contracts too? Got a S22 ultra at R899 per month for 36 months in April, will this suddenly increase a lot?
wait can they just increase your price in the middle of a contract ?
