Big upgrades to FNB Banking App

any news on how the otp will work when you are overseas and do not have data connectivity?
Their thinking is that if you have internet access overseas to use the fnb website you're probably on hotel or guest wifi and thus your phone can also get WiFi data

wonder where is the fingerprint option - have updated about 20min ago.

irritates me to no-end having to require me to login on both the website as well as the app in order to do a transaction :/ :/

fingerprint might help a little, but would have accepted a message from the app with the incontact info.

You don't have to log into the app. You just have to open it.

tried twice earlier -no notifications, even when logged in.
ended up having to do my transaction via the app.

growing pains i guess

Appears that you need to login (with password) to the new app the first time and then answer the question on enabling fingerprint login. Works pretty well once enabled.

I phoned them up and gave them my new overseas number and I just get my OTPs sent to it. Alternatively you can have your email set as your secondary OTP.

Most welcome. Initially i was confused about the R0.01 thing my thought was they charge you R0.01 for each notification/ incontact approval. I see they actually mean they will notify you for transactions as low as 1 cent. Or am i still confused?

Nope, you are correct

Anyone with a Huawei P9 Lite tried the new FNB App yet?
Does the fingerprint login and NFC payment work with this device?

Looking for a cheap and cheerful handset that will support the new app functionality.

Remember the dual sim ones don't do NFC
