Number of individual people to visit the website, e.g. if I visit this site 10 times a day I am still just 1 unique visitor. If 2 people visit the website they are 2 unique visitors.

The practice of reporting "unique" visitors as a monthly aggregate is fallacious and not at all indicative of the number of actual visitors a website has in any given month.
For instance, if I visit this website every day for a month, I will not be counted as 1 visit for that month, but possibly 30 or 31 visitors.
A more accurate indicator of the number of unique visitors a site receives in any month is to look at the daily totals and then average those over however many days there are in a month.

News24.co.za used to be 2,878,260
... but I quit going there.
It's virtual death is imminent due to the lack of my presence.
I was one to visit news24.co.za last month! It was a short cut on my Opera Mini start page and I visited or hit it by mistake, while trying to figure out how to remove these shortcuts on a touch screen phone!
