If Winston did that to Telkom, imagine what would happen if Winston is challenged to compete with Neotel!!!
Neotel will claim that Winston blocked the signal or had a mobile jamming device

HIPP HIPP HOORAY!!!!
*crowd goes wild!
*Telkom in shock!! (By George! they cannot believe it!)
*SA has a better idea of how bad things are!!!
*Citizens demand the arrest of Telkom fat cats and accomplices in this crime to SA
*SAPS cuffs those responsible
*In the not too distant future.. signs of freedom emerge.. SA breaks free of the shackles after being held captive for all these years.. its like `94 all over again!
Screw the coffee... I want what ever he has been smoking. I might just wake up in 20 years to a better life...And then you woke up and your coffee was cold!![]()
I nearly fell off the couch laughing at that commentnews reader said a tortoise would've been better competition!
Somebody needs to do a gender test on Winston
1) Homing pigeons cost thousands of rand.
2) This competition was set up with an arbitrary distance that would guarantee that the pigeon won. As some have stated, let's see winston beat any local broadband operator between major cities.
3) You can fill a donkey cart with 1 TB hard drives and beat SEACOM to Kenya. What does that prove?
3) This is a publicity stunt for a company no one has ever heard of.
4) ADSL only has a 512k upload speed which is not meant for GB uploads, but designed instead for internet downloads. At 4 mbps, 4GB would take <3 hrs which is close to the pigeon's time.
5) Let's see this test versus 3G, iBurst and Neotel too.
6) I'm having pigeon drumsticks for supper.
Even if they bring awareness to a problem? Such as this one which highlights the pathetic standards of our broadband for those who have no frame of reference? It's pretty smart marketing on their part if you ask me - really well done. It's not intrusive, it's sociable, interactive, entertaining to an extent all the while promoting their company while highlighting a major issue with our country's telecoms situation...

Maybe you should remove that stick from your rump and see this situation for what it's supposed to be: freedom of speech against a company that's been sorely lacking in any customer satisfaction and quality of service. They pay R35K (R30K?) per month for those Telkom lines, not being able to upload 4GB in an hour or two is a disgrace... Why does someone always have to be such a sour grape when this entire situation is such a great way to raise awareness on the subject?!?!?![]()
Taking life waaaaaay to seriously seems to be a South African trait these days.
