Has it balanced out yet or are you still having issues?

Yea, speed was downgraded to 2mbps for sure. No idea how it happened or why. But I'm pretty sure that is what happened. I might be wrong though. I can't confirm anything till I get feedback from Bitco. As I said, might just have been an honest back end mistake. But my speed was definitely 2mbps this morning.

Just to confirm.

I just got home and did a speed test again. Now it's back to 5mbps. I have not received a word from Bitco so it could be that I jumped the gun a bit. May have been something else. Will see what Bitco says.

I have had bitco for a few weeks now everything seems great. just when i try facetime or skype people in the uk i seem to have very poor quality video on skype and no video on facetime wondering if anyone else has had these issues?.
sent a support request and keep getting told they have made adjustments but never see a change in the service.

Do a ping test from your command prompt ...type the following

ping -n 100 www.bbc.com

See what results you are getting, your ping speed should be in the region of 165-170 with 0% packet loss.

I've been using my 3g to play bf4 and no issues at all. But the moment I use Bitco connection it keeps disconnecting me from the game.

Hi all
Not sure if this is a ridiculous question or not but I literally have zero options left with proper internet in this country(3G dongle are child's play). Bitco is my last hope. I've signed up and am waiting for them to come survey my place.
I'm concerned though because I live in a high rise. 17th floor to be exact. Will this prevent them from installing? There is access to the roof though(19th floor).
I'm so stressed out. Any help on this would be appreciated. Crossing fingers I'm a viable candidate.

Well I've given up on BitCo, they don't even answer me anymore... If u getting the line to browse and stream then no problem but if you getting it for online gaming you going to waist your time and money.. You will be far better off using 3g.

Right guys ive confirmed with testing between different games for example BF4 vs Destiny. BF4 im getting in to a game lobby, no a problem. Getting into the game is a huge issue lag spikes, unstable ping etc.

I have been in touch with Bitco and they are going to lineup stress tests on there systems for BF4 compatibility, it seems some ports could be out of wack, EA might have made changes to the sever protocols and Bitco might need to make an adjustment so what ever it maybe causing the problem, please have a little patience i'm sure Richard and the boys will figure it out.

As with Destiny i'm having no issuesl, in short ....perfect!

Far Cry 4 online ..perfect
etc etc etc

I haven't had any issues with PC games, BF, MW2, etc.

But PS4...oi vey. PES 2015 was absolutely rubbish and Destiny gave me issues as well.

I think it just depends where you are that impacts on your experience.

The weird thing is that with a little patience 1 out of 5 servers let you in on Saterdays and Sundays. But like you said it's he'll out Laggy.. Come Monday nothing again.. The problem isn't on EA's side it's bitco..

This may be out of context but our Company contacted Bitco for a VoIP PBX Solution for one of our clients as this is not our core service.
They sent a sales representative who started talking about his own business that he is starting up, something to do with oil, after he came completely unprepared to the PBX meeting. Needless to say Bitco was not considered as a provider.

Maybe they are spreading themselves thin.
Good luck to everyone.

Has anyone had their gaming problems resolved by Bitco yet?

I'm having major latency probiems to an online game everyday 8AM to 6PM monday to friday. Exactly after 6PM, I can play again.
I don't know if there is any point creating a ticket if Bitco is unable or unwilling to do anything about it.

6 days after a LoS test was done and I'm still waiting for feedback...

Hi Boober44b,

Can you please send us a PM with your full name and we can have a look at the LOS report and signal test for you.

There are often technical parameters that could stop a link installation and need to be approved by our infrastructure manager.

We can have a quick look and let you know what the process is going forward for your link

The same has been happening to mine, I've been told that they shape our lines during the week and or if you got a download going for longer than an hour your line will be shaped till the download is finished.. they said this could be one of the reasons why Im battling to connect to the servers.. But Im almost certain it isn't the case.

Hi RustyB,

We do not have any form of shaping on our network that would hard limit line speeds. We have our standard FUP and Torrent shaping from 6am -6pm, this sounds like a fault on the equipment.

Please can you log a support request with support@bitco.co.za and if not resolved to your satisfaction please can you send us a PM with your full name and ticket number so i can ask the operations manager to provide us some feedback.

Hi MJ89,

That is a very weird fault to be experiencing, have you managed to log with support@bitco.co.za?

we have many customers using face time and Skype both during business and after hours

Would you mind to please send us a PM with your full name so we can have a look at your individual link and see if our monitoring tool have detected anything out of the ordinary.

Hi Guys,

Our technical team is going to be testing as many games as possible on all different gaming mediums to ensure we have all the correct ports prioritized on our network.

Please can i ask everyone who is experiencing a problem with a specific game to log with support@bitco.co.za and let us know which game and if its PC, Xbox, PS4 so we can ensure to test and resolve ASAP.

I am extremely confident the team will resolve this shortly as we suspect some of the ports have been changed and minor adjustments on our core need to be applied

Mike
