Ignore it for now ,finish all your updates then apply a LAN connection between pc an router and make sure the are no other devices connected, then do some tests and see if you get the same results

I'm currently in FUP since most of the application and games updated when the PC noticed a connection after a year.

So... this was sent back in March..

'Hi Mike

something is up with this thing, can i try another router? i think its a port issue please can you check if you block port 30030? its the bf4 servers? 30000-40000?

Thanks'

Would love an Update on the BF4 issue, just think about it BFH going for R599 at BT Games, premuim +499, BF5 easy be R699 on release date when that eventually happens.... oooh wait need a new GPU to handle that +-3500, BF 4 release date 29 Oct 2013 almost 2 years old still cant play it

Get all setup and ready to but wait there is more R899 a month yet you cannot play the game,

Kindly give as some positive feedback on this BF issue, Gaming is the main reason about 20 of my friends have Bitco

Anyway if some of you want to play and can live with a 150-200 ping try the bananarepublic server it still works

thanks

FYI

Hi Disiza / No-Rules / cal384 & All other Avid BF4 players

I would like to confirm that we acknowledge the problem with BF4 on our network and as described by Disiza previously this is due to the significant change in ports used by EA.

I confirm our core engineers are currently working on the issue and we hope to have it resolved no later than end of next week.

We have had a slight delay this week due to our CEO being overseas on Business, while our CEO is away our core engineers cannot make any major changes to the core network as this forms part of our change control policy.

I can confirm all other services are fully operational. If any users have issues with specific services please can you log this with support@bitco.co.za so we can ensure the ports are fully optomized.

Mike

Why arent there any thank you or positive feedbacks from the ton loads of complainers for the past few weeks?

We had threats of contract termination, im sure suicide contemplation even...

Bitco, my contract is in the process, but thank you for the active feedback that has been shown on this forum.

Im sure you couldve given the cold shoulder and kept quiet till the problem is resolved.

Some okes just forgot the REAL frustration when copper cables are stolen "somewhere", or the vechiles are brokendown *cough* telkom...

And the paragraph explain the CEO is away, that shows a proper leadership structure where authority still matters and not just somebodies better judgement.

Thanks for knowing we are at the end of the day in good hands.

I horrified that the CEO of BitCo doesn't have email access... Is he overseas in a funny country that doesn't have WiFi anywhere? Are there even any countries without WiFi in hotels etc?

I'd rather deal with the frustration of not being able to game online for 10% of the time, than deal with the frustration of sitting with packet loss 95% of the time

my feeling behind the problem is that the "solution" the core guys wants to implement, might have negative drawbacks for the network/business (eg opening ports that will allow torrents and thus affecting the business directly). thus a CEO level approval is needed -

just a little patience guys - Bitco is at least giving direct feedback on the issue, and starting to assist its home-internet users with the special problems they are having. The network is growing as more people joins (size and support level)

I don't even:wtf: Looking at how you put a sentence together it sounds like you have some growing up to do, are you 12?

Anyway I guess its very immature of me that I don't like it when a company advertises their product/service for gaming, when in fact the majority of its users experience packet loss which is one of the worst things you can have when it comes to gaming...

At least when some of the other ISP's in SA advertise their product for gaming, it actually works for gaming, the fact that the lines occasionally get stolen is not their fault and beside the point, with your logic its like saying, Volkswagen is so ****, their cars get hijacked so much, therefor they must be a **** company

I can't wait until you start experiencing issues with your link.

Grow up? Read your last post and look how childish that was. What we have posted here have been legitimate complaints and concerns, only half of it is answered by the people offering our services, the rest is ignored/swept under the carpet.

Typical South African mentality, because Telkom's cable theft is a bigger problem, we should be content with the lesser problems experienced on BitCo?

What you also fail to understand is that the product experience has changed drastically from when it was installed, to what it is now. I -was- an avid supporter of BitCo, suggesting them to friends and family alike, until I had the unfortunate instance to deal with them when I had link issues.

This is me right here, I actually convinced one of my friends to sign up with them as well, and now I feel like a total fool because he's experiencing all of the same issues

I keep missing you on steam. Playing rust most of the time

Just message me when you're playing CS:GO again and I'll join. Actually want to try these comps but never played one yet. No improvement yet on your packet loss issue?

It's come to the point where I only play CSGO on weekends over at a friends house on his ADSL:D

My connection today..
http://netgauge.ookla.com/share/202482260.png

Not sure why, after it was fine last night when I used it.

EDIT: I assume Bitco is performing some tests on my connection after my initial query? Dropped from 5Mbps to 1.2Mbps to 0.6Mbps.

EDIT2: All sorted again.

Wells I gave up on Bitco... Not going to pay top rates not to be able to download/ play what I want when I want... I think it's a little piss poor on there behalf not opening ports used for gaming, wait till the next big game is released, you will land up having the same problems all over again.... They shouldn't advertise there products for online gaming.........
