BitCo Consumer Review

Hi Guys

Regarding upgrades... If you upgrade mid contract then your initial contract period remains the same. So if you have 6 months of your contract remaining and you decide to upgrade, you still have only 6 months remaining.

Now this is FANTASTIC NEWS !!!

I can agree with a clawback if you downgrade. But an upgrade is a win win. Thanks for that Garth.

no LOS no internet from Bitco.

:(

Wow this is sad. This is really a damn good company from the very first time I enquired. Their service is unmatched. I'm sure they will be expanding pretty quickly with service like this. Sad you could not join up as well. But who knows, maybe in a few months we'll have towers popping up everywhere. And you can join too :)

The tower is only 2km away and the only thing stopping me is my nabours 3 storage house sadly.

They're turning away quite a few people at present. I received my quote today so will mail it tomorrow along with the details they require.

Hopefully I get LOS as I'm tired of dealing with Telkom.

Hi Maneshk,

Sorry I tried but there is a couple of things I need to do before I can view it since it's not available in SA. Never used it and see it has a subcription too... bleh. I did watch a HD video on youtue the duration of the video was 1:40 and it didn't buffer once. No idea if that helps. On the Gaming side I was playing Rust for a bit with a constant ping of 78 on a local server. ADSL guys were on around 90 - 98 which I think is amazing. It didn't fluctuate it was constantly at 78 when ever I checked it. Pretty chuffed.

Streaming works very well on the comtel 2mb unshaped line so I'm sure it will be the same with yours.

@pitbull you don't have to do much to stream from Netflix or Hulu - and Hulu has loads of free content, lots of movies and the latest episodes and all original content are free - you only pay if you want the hulu +.

Just head over to hola.org and install the browser add on,it will connect you directly to usa or uk servers or where ever you choose. The hola app can be turned off/on when required and is free.

waiting for the guys doing los test in the next 20min.. hope it goes well. does anyone know how long the los test takes?

They get on the roof and it takes about 10 minutes. Once done they will tell you one of 2 things: 1. The LOS is good, can we put the dish up here? or 2. Sorry no LOS we will take photos for the survey and move on.

/holding thumbs for you. Best internet I have ever experienced ;)

Briliant thanks mate.

I currently don't have a big download requirement so I don't see myself upgrading to 5Mbps unless my need increases. Since I'm streaming fine (This is do plenty) I might just keep the 2Mbps for a while till my need changes. I have a few games I need to download from Steam, but I'll do that off peak. Maybe over the weekend.

Once they are donw ith the install you have to wait a day or so to use it. That is the worst part, appart from watching them on the roof and hoping they get LOS :D

Lol I can imagine....

Skippie hopefully they just start the intalation and not take fotos...
