No Ethernet cable you can run directly to your pc? Might be hardware related. You have more than one PC connected?

Maybe try troubleshooting from the switch outwards. Disconnect everything from the switch (All devices). Connect one PC to the switch with the Ethernet cable and see what it does. Then the next device and so on. Could be a variety of things... Some fault finding would need to be done to make sure it's not on your side of the line I suppose.

edit: On a side note. I had a wireless lan card in my PC I used ages ago. It started giving me issues and I got one of those Edimax USB wifi thingies. Never had a problem since. They cheap if it turns out to be your Network card, these things are awesome :)

Excuse my ignorance, but will it still work if I run a network cable directly from the switch to my pc?

Oh and I don't have more than one pc connected simultaneously, but I've tested with my laptop a week or so ago, just to confirm that its not a driver issue of some sort on my pc, but the packet loss problem was still there with my laptop as well.

Yea, if you have a network port on the back of your PC it should work. With these switches can be a straight or cross over shouldn't make a difference.

edit: looking at my switch now. The blue one coming from the Dish should stay where it is. Remove the cable going to the router and plug the Ethernet cable in there.

Don't think it will work guys. Remember all DHCP is assigned from the small router as well as the Cisco being on a different VLAN. You may be able to do it if you assign your PC the same IP address as the wireless router Internet port

How does the LOS thing work? Do I need to be able to SEE one of the towers from my house?

I keep disconnecting from League of Legends, with huge spikes all around :(
I am a bit disappointed, and I haven't heard of any updates on this continuous issue (+-3 weeks)...
Where is the super-solver Garth?

So It seems my international ping has gone down by about 30-40 :D excited! Everything seems stable, for now.. I think all of the disconnects was because of a reroute in international traffic.

Sorry for the bad quality.

I actually only realized via an e-mail the other day. Garthvs is the MD of bitco (due to his signature)

So he should be pretty damn busy, where he gets the time to post on here personally is pretty damn impressive.

Sorry for the bad quality.

Glad you got your issue sorted, I'm really at the point of just giving up on bitco, and just use them to download the odd series, movie and to keep our phones updated lol... If this issue is not sorted by next week I'm going to get a capped ADSL account somewhere (any recommendations anyone?) because I'd rather pay a couple of hundred bucks more a month than having to complain here every other day:(

Note to Bitco, if it comes up to that I have to get alternative account just so that I can game properly, you can be sure I'll be on here advising every potential new customer, that if they plan on gaming with their Bitco connection, they should maybe try alternative routes

So I was wrong, my connection is still unstable, disconnects and huge spikes to +-600ms, as If i'm not in the game for 2-3 seconds. My ping is back to 215, I don't mind, as long as I don't have spikes...

Sounds almost exactly the same as my issue, but except my ping doesn't spike, but the net_graph in Counter strike at that specific point shows up to 30% loss.

What bothers me more, is that last when week when Garth was trying to help me, he mentioned more than once he can see there's the problem.... My rational thinking says to me, "okay great , you see there's a problem", now I can understand that some problems take longer than others to fix, at least let me know, "Sorry for the inconvenience, give us a week or so to get this sorted"... But nope not Bitco, they confirm they see the problem, and then just ignore you.

Edit: And let me guess this "not in the game for 3 seconds" issue you're experiencing happens about every 2-3 minutes?

Yes, usually around 2-3 minutes, I am going to play a game now and get some footage, then I'll upload it to Youtube and post the link.

Have you run a trace route to see where latency is occurring in the route?
