Get in line :whistling: I have been trying to get Garth to either respond to me, or direct me to someone who can assist, since the 12th August. I have sent numerous emails, pm's and have tried contacting him telephonically on many occasions only to be brushed off or told to call back the following day.

We have a complex in Lonehill that Bitco did a proposal on to install fibre and provide internet services via a dedicated p2p wireless link. They came out and did an entire site inspection (conduits, reticulation, etc). They were extremely professional and quite jacked up. Once we were ready to send out the circular inviting residents to apply for the service and just needed Bitco to give it the nod and provide a primary contact to co-ordinate the applications the correspondence died. I drafted the circular myself, giving detailed info on the proposal and blowing enough smoke up Bitco's rear to launch them into outer space :D . All we needed was a nod and a contact inserted into the draft.

I have a funny feeling Bitco may have bitten off more than they can chew when they started offering services to the public. I don't think they were ready for the volume of interest, which is a pity as things started off so well.

Who knows, perhaps they will find a balance, but I have to admit that I am quite disappointed.

Yea spoke to the installers, 8 teams doing about 2 installs a day each so they are growing(I hope) and need plenty more staff for retail customers :p

I agree, I do think they grew way more in a short time than they expected. They do deliver an exceptional product and their service is top notch. I get the feeling they are starting to buckle a bit under pressure. Every business has teething problems, and they are exploding onto the scene. Up till date I have not had a problem, touch wood. Garth, my offer still stands, will be more than willing to pay slightly more to have more staff employed to keep the service at top notch level :p

I use Netflix and stream to 2 devices at once with no buffering on any devices. (5Mbps line)

No idea about ntv.

I have been using Netflix, Hulu+ on roku3 with no issues. Even when the speed is reduced my streaming is always splendid. Its only Ntv; XBMC on my MX3 that has issues.

Application submitted last week Wednesday, paperwork signed and submitted Friday morning, and LOS / Installation done today in Nelspruit. Pretty impressed. Now to wait for the soaking period...

Hi Guys, the issue has been resolved. Turns out even if the router and the android box are next to each other it doesn't improve the connection. I used a network cable and boom, everything resolved. No buffering at all. I even left it running over night to test it this morning, still running smoothly.

The full name is NTV.MX : Its an awesome replacement if you hardly watch SA soccer. There are other channels but haven't tried them yet. Just the HD Sports channels. And they running smoothly on my MB line :) Chuffed about that :)

Being introduced to Bitco was one of the best things to ever happen to me this year, Happy camper thus far

FYI: NTV Info: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/550803-Offsidestreams-amp-NTV-Streaming-Live-TV

Hi Garth

I just have a query i hope you can answer.
as per a previous question, you mentioned that downloading xbox live games and demos fall outside the FUP.
i have had my Bitco line for the last week and i downloaded Destiny 15GB last week.
after an hour my line was capped down to 5mb.
i don't torrent but do stream and there was no other usage on the line, i wanted to run the line in with this download so to speak :)

i proceeded to contact your support team
and a nice guy by the name of Leonard contacted me back below was his response...

"As per my understanding any Downloads should comply with the FUP, The only time this will work is if you are playing the internet games as they have specific port which are known from our Qos."

other than that i am very happy to see the end of telkom :)

I am not sure if this will help anyone else, but here goes.

Over the weekend I started having weird timeouts, sounding very similar to what some of the guys on here are experiencing. I used the command "pathping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to the destination I was trying to connect to, and noticed packet loss on my side of the link (E900 device and Cisco router). On further investigation there was a slight mismatch in the WiFi settings on the E900 and the laptop I was using. Once that was fixed everything was running great again. So maybe try the command, at least it will let you see exactly where the problem is occurring.

I noticed the same thing when downloading GT6 updates on the PS3. I thought the FUP covers all downloads so didn't think much of it. Would be great if "update" downloads could be excluded.

Do we have a static IP which can be accessed from general internet? I think I remember something like that being mentioned in the thread but I cannot find it anywhere now.

Please elaborate:D What exactly was "mismatching" and what did you change, because any route I ping I get packet loss
