With the 10Mbps you will be limited to 5Mbps. But the guys are working on the FUP to accommodate streaming.I've just signed up for the 10Mbps and the LOS assessment will be done on Friday. So far their service has been fast, professional and accurate.
I'm a little concerned over the FUP being discussed. I went for 10Mbps as I need good upstream b/w for VC and want o stream HD video on a regular basis. From what I read, if I use my full 10Mbps for an hour, I'l be throttled to 2Mbps for the rest of the day? Is that right? So download a 4Gb software image and there goes the Netflix HD stream for the night?

Hi Beerygaz - when you say - "just signed up" when did you submit all the required docs ?
I ask as I sent everything and still no appointment for LOS assessment ...

Hi Pitbull,
Thanks for the post
the problem you experienced has nothing to do with the new FUP or configuration
we experienced a fault last night in the back of Pretoria, a team was immediately dispatched and fault was cleared at around 22:45
I have checked your link this morning and it is operating 100% again
If you are still having problems please send us a PM and log with [email protected]

i was wondering about the following and maybe someone here can explain.
what happens if you get a 5mb uncapped and you set your transfer speed at max 3 or 4mb ? will you still get shaped/throttled ? or only at full speed (5mb) for more than a hour ?
do you get a public ip ? or a Private ip ?
Requested an upgrade to 10Mbps on Monday. Hoping it will be done soon. More than happy with the 5Mbps service, been great thus far.
Thought I would just jump in here and mention that no one from bitco has even looked at my gaming latency issue and they still don't seem to be responding to my emails.
*sigh*
