BitCo Consumer Review

Thanks.

You sir deserve a Bell's... Bitco here is our/ your problem for the PC guys. Tested mine on hardline where u can turn it of i can play hardline now... On BF4 i cant play because my ping is 5ms to most servers... Now how do i get my ping to 50-80?

This is exactly why console guys aint getting disconnects because they play overseas..

Thanks Nicks
What I'll do is check all my BF4 settings and post it tonight. I realised that I might have made other changes in bf4 allso.

Ill be in touch

Hi All,

Many of you posted comments about some International web issues over the weekend.

We experienced a routing fault to both Akamai and Google's content delivery nodes, this would have resulted in certain web sites and services being unresponsive and slow.

The fault was cleared on our side late Sunday afternoon and we can confirm all services are fully operational.

I had BitCo 5mbps for 2years and then Upgraded to 10mbps for the last year.
Year 1 BF 3-4 was working 100%
Year 2-3 not so mutch.

I want to point out that the Battlefield 3-4-HL problem came out after an net-code update from EA/Dice. That is why the game took so long to fix on BitCo's network.

BitCo did do something to make it work but you may still have a problem.

The Biggest Problem was Hi-Frequency network Updates. It automatically switch on dew to the low ping we have.
Under BF4 you should leave the option on auto. (the previous Update you could turn it off)
Under Hardline you can switch it off.

After doing this your BF will stop the 30sec.-5min. server disconnection bug.

*I have not tested BF3 yet and will update my comment as soon as Im sure it works or not.

Update
*I Have tested BF3 and it all so works now. :D

Ok wait...

So the kicks are happening because you have a ping that is too low? Bitco takes the flak for giving us awesome pings

Damn :D

Basically what EA's Core technician told me as I understand is that on very low ping the system "assumes" that you are on 25+ mbps Fiber(25+mbps up and download). So what happens is that the server posts to big packets to you and require you to post big Packets Back to the server. Then Bottle Neck
You may be able to receive the big packets but not send them.

Ok EA have removed all the toy's under network options for BF4.... no more fiddling with network smoothness etc.

The only option I can provide is reset your options to default and see if that sorts the problem... (Just remember to switch Hi-Frequency network Updates to auto in case its set to on)

Could be that some of the old network settings is still in play after the last update...
Could be that they have fixed the problem and you just need reset to defaults...
Could be that if you reset the settings nothing happens..
Could be that you make it worse!

At this stage I Don't Know any more!
I give up! Screw You EA  and you BitCo! (in case its your fault)

Now I feel better.

Nicks3113 Let me know if defaults worked.

Bitco paperwork for 5mb uncapped submitted and now the wait... have big expectations.. hope not to be disappointed..

Nope does not work! Nothing works its a bad situation! Unless we can get our ping to about 50ms on local servers we are screwed i played on a international server works fine but they kick you above 150ms so no hope for us

So, I've had BitCo a week now. Here beith my updates:

Initially I had some problems that was fixed by changing the DNS to Google's DNS. BitCo fixed the problem on Sunday but I decided to just keep on using Google's DNS. After that fix my internet has been good.

Browsing and downloading have been excellent. I downloaded a Steam game to test the FUP and everything went as expected. Browsing was still fine on 2mb.
Youtube has been working great and I just set everything to 720p. Haven't really bothered with 1080p.
Twitch doesn't work well at all. It buffers a lot. On both the PC and the XBox One.
I can remote desktop to local servers but for some reason if I remote desktop to my UK server it's completely unresponsive. I have to use 3G for that. I haven't tried it again since they made network fixes on Sunday though so maybe it's better now.
XBox One gaming doesn't work well. Even the XBox 360 says the network isn't great and that I won't be able to hear voices and that multiplayer gaming may not work correctly.

So I'm happy. Luckily I don't game online that often. When I do again I'll give an update on how it performed.
