Ignore him. You aren't going to get anywhere. You can't have a discussion with someone who isn't informed on the facts.
Saw him on several unrelated threads doing the same thing. Disputing verifiable information, must be one those people IRL where you can show them facts and he will still tell you are wrong because he says so.

I don't recall a single time in the past where it was accurate to state GBTC has bought all the mined BTC ... please enlighten us as to when that happened before?

I remain bullish until GBTC stops adding BTC to their holdings.

looking at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/markets/

I just don't see the "BTC volume is driven by USDT" scenario, collectively all the exchanges on there listing the BTC/USDT pair make up around only 3% of total BTC volume which is less than the pure BTC/USD volume
Perhaps have a look here for a volume comparison. I believe this covers all exchanges, although I may be mistaken.

for all the analytics out there I wish there was a proper one that makes these things easy lol, this one is as difficult to compare with as coinmarketcap

but ok, taking the raw 24h BTC/USDT volume vs the total BTC volume over 24h from coinmarketcap ... USDT accounts for 13% of total BTC volume (11.7 billion / 84.4 billion), take away 13% of total volume and BTC likely just chugs along without any major drop, certainly not a BTC extinction event

Thanks Doodaroo, I was reading through this section and never knew Easy Equities offered a Crypto section.

Since I'm a retard at investing and yes I lost a lot of money in the first Bitcoin bubble, bought in at like $17,000 or something, then after around 2 years I pulled the plug.. yes I know I should have just sat on it and look at today.. FML..

So here I am and I looked at that EC10 offering, which is cool. Out of interest what do you all think is a decent / safe amount of money to invest, I don't have much but would like to get back in..

Thanks

It is a good option as it is a ETF and has a bit of each crypto in it to make it up. I am putting in R10000 as a starter and willing to lose it but hopeful it will not be the case.

Same thing as with those oil emails that make the rounds. Notice how the current "bull" market has been driven entirely by media hype even when it was bearish, they would publish lies to make it turn around. A self fulfilling prophesy.

So changing one's mind about an asset class is a big no go?
Changing their mind is one thing. It's the outlandish price predictions that make it obvious they're just playing the money making game.

I don't care...they can play the game however they want. I just don't think their opinion about Bitcoin means anything. It's pure self interest.

They flip flop between extremes depending on the wind.
No doubt they're trying to influence the price. I guess, as you say, that is their game
