Luno is like a smoothed return. Seems everyone is wised up to the maker/ taker and exchange vs instant structures now so it takes large swings in the dollar price to move our price. Surely it's time to change their charging structure to something reasonable now
 
Has anyone worked out how much Luno make per day? Each trade is available and each trade is a taker. So I think I think it can be calculated...

There's a 24 Hour volume at the top of the exchange, you can work it out from that. Currently it's at 708 BTC. Obviously some traders will have lower fee classes but then there's also those that get ridiculous fees from instant buying and selling. Add to that the fact that they've also got a ETH/ BTC exchange and I'd say they clear R1m per day on average.

When BTC was climbing to it's all time high, the volume was way, way higher. Then they were probably clearing R2m per day easily.
 
They also trade a few other currency pairs (BTC/ IDR, BTC/MYR and BTC/NGN)
 
Dam! Pitty they didn't have offices in JHB. Only Cape town. I see they looking for devs. This would be my cuppa tea. I would fix their charts pronto ;)
 
Had a mate who had an interview lined up at Luno. They wanted him to basically do a big take home design assignment prior to coming in...for no remuneration, and no guarantee they wouldn't use his work as their own.

Now I'm all for technical tests for recruitment, but it needs to be ethical.
 
So Zuma just resigned and the Rand is strengthening. I suspect we will see a minor selloff on Luno. Just need to have a bit of a drop on the USD BTC price to trigger it.
 
GUys?? is this action here today from the Futures close out in USA?.. i mean all the shorts dudes took need to be covered? so all this buying is them covering their shorts?... Thanks,.
 
Hi guys, anyone having issues on Luno with some trade notifications not showing and also some trades that executed not appearing on the "My Orders" page?

NO issues no,. I'm sure Luno's servers are chunking at the activity tho :D
 
are we expecting a drop soon, expected a sell off today so sold quite a bit last night..
