What's is the cheapest and best way to move funds to Binance? I moved some earlier using VALR and XRP, when the funds hit Binance +R700 value was lost. It seems VALR is quoting a higher ZAR conversion rate then the market.

I usually send XRP from Luno, very minimal costs.
Edit, just checked the last transaction: 100XRP sent from luno to Binance, cost was 0,03 XRP.

XRP and Sol are both cheap and fast, just need to double check that there ins't an arb difference between exchanges.

Wow, that's improved since I last checked. Last time I traded ZAR for USDT was probably 6 months ago.

Still a 2.5% premium buying as with buying most crypto locally which many people aren't aware of.

What are the USDT costs like? At least with USDT when it lands on Binance you don't need to change it to something else before trading (I'm assuming you want to buy alts) - you can jump straight into a USDT trading pair.

+R19.40 on VALR vs +-R18.8 on other markets. I realised what was happening after I moved XRP to Binance and converted it to USDT.

XRP is not the problem. The problem is VALR charging a higher Rand conversion rate compared to the market.

lol welcome to ARB SA is always higher 1-4%

Also its not VALR the arb exists due to exchange control you can only take out R11m a year so a limited amount of crypto can enter "SA".

If you want cheap crypto you gotta swift funds and that costs R250/500 a pop
