For many years the standard colour that PC boxes and monitors cam out in was that kinds off-white/ivory shades of colours. Then a couple of years ago the fashion became black, at least for entry-level and mid-range computers (basically the bulk of all computers).

Will this ever change ... say, back to white/ivory again?

EDIT: No, this post has no hidden political agenda. :D

I have always thought there was a market for custom-built cases made of wood - for your upper-crust rich folk.

Unfortunately I have a problem hammering in a nail without a disaster.

if we were spoiled for choice i wud go for a dark metallic blue finish allround . . . oh well

I asked this at a PC manufacturing plant once in (10 years ago or so). The answer I was given is that the dye to make stuff black was cheaper than the dye to make stuff white or cream. Hence the change.

Gentlemen prefer blondes anyway.

If you like i do customize spray boxes. Please check electronics link in my sig...and this is not RAS ok.
