animal - what ISP are you with? Sounds like there is more something wrong with your network than the game.

I'm with Afrihost capped, but I'm not experiencing ping or connection issues in any other games at the moment.

when do you play normally? in the evenings?

The issue is, is that sometimes for some reason you are connected to a server in america with a 500ms ping but in the evenings i generally have a ping between 30 and 70ms

8-38 is the age range, Im enjoying BLOPS 3, im 29.Best one to date, loving zombies leveling system aswell.You cant really compare CSGO to COD, one is more swat like, whereby the other is mindless fun(not so mindless in the new zombies map though - its hard!)

Yeah, evenings. If I keep experiencing problems I'll start a thread to collect some of your guys' battle net tags, then it should make things easier.

Hey guys im very new here and glad to join the discussion.
I pre ordered the game and bought it Friday. Got home installed, after installation the update runs from steam just after the 6th cd is done.
After the patch/update is done the game failed to launch with the message "failed to start (unknown error)
Anybody else having a issue with thw game?
I asked a buddy if it might be im running only 4gb ram and not 6gb and the fact im running strong gpu would take it out equation?
Help please guys i paid R700 and can't play it.

Most likely graphics drivers.
That or you need to check the integrity of the game files, such a large game could take a while to do that though.

Right click on Game>Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Game Cache

It wont run with well 4gb RAM ... . What GPU do you have? And what CPU?

I've read that it can be, if you have a really good GPU & CPU, but you have to fiddle a lot with settings. But really, who has 4gb ram these days? Laptop?

My laptop has 16GB RAM IIRC and I bought it like 2 years ago.
 
Connecting was a lot better last night, I managed to at least find games in about 1/3 to 1/4 attempts. I even managed to connect to 1 local game.
 
Anyone else notice that your calling card and emblem displays differently in game than what you have set up? I made a nice emblem for myself and when I asked a mate what he thinks of it, he saw something completely different.

Otherwise had a nice weekend of gaming. Game runs smooth and with very little issues aside from the above.
 
Hmmm ... I saw your red googly eyed mannetjie.... in menu. I didn't note what it shows in game though after a kill. Interesting. I'll ask about mine tonight see if what you say is true about mine too.

The only thing I don't like about HC vs SC is that weapon choice does not matter a damn in HC.

Any weapon can be effective. In SC you know that if you run into someone packing a shotgun or SMG around a corner while you have an assault rifle you will be mince meat. However if you encounter that same combination on a medium to long range stretch the assault rifle wins out.

I only play HC to level my weapons. HC requires less skill in my opinion.

I do wish you could disable the mini-map in SC though. I like the fact you have to launch a UAV to give you map coverage in HC. That makes sense.

Yes maybe less skill in you don't have to empty a clip and also need to be very accurate. But on the flipside, HC allows quick kills and a huge amount of spacial awareness. You cant outrun the second or third shot in most cases, so being reactive is key. But purely I like that when you shoot someone in HC 90% of the time its a kill. Gun choice is still important and there are many guys who still excell with a shotty or sniper rifle...

I wouldn't say HC requires less skill. A different skill set maybe. I jumped on a HC server because there was nothing happening in SC and must say it was lekker. Camping is a bit worse though.

Played another game in SC where the other team was made up of guys with clan tag [PO*S] and it seems they were out to annoy people by camping (3 or 4 guys camping one section of the map) with sniper rifles. They were pretty *** though so enjoyed shooting them because you knew exactly where they were. Got s sniper kill for the killcam and one of them shouted Gay Noob Fag and I just lolled because it was all they were doing.
