Blackberry Bold 9700

If i may ask, what contract and network did u get the 9700 through? I want to get one in 2 weeks time in May from Vodacom on the BB Talk 100 contract for R429 p.m. Not sure if pricing might drop in May but I will hold out till then in case it does. I am running away from MTN, so don't really want to consider getting the 9700 through them.

Marine1, what OS have u installed and from where? I'm also a new BB (9700) user but wouldn't u just click on the appworld icon and it take u to the browser and begin the download?

Mmmmmm for free?

Anyone know where to get themes and apps without any payins?

Ya there's a lot of free stuff on app world. If I'm not mistaken I read somewhere on myBB that in SA only the free content on app world is available.

When downlaoding sumthing from app world, while downlaoding in the top right corner it says 102MB free. What is it refering to?

It refers to the amount of free memory on your BB. Your BB comes with a certain amount of internal memory for OS and apps; the 9700 has 256MB, the 9000 only 128MB. If it gets low (like under 20MB) things can get somewhat unstable.

Same problem with the Storm2 load all the apps but had to delete some due to space availiblity. That sucks.

Claymore, thnx. Can u move apps to your sd card then?

No. They have to run in the built-in memory. (Part of that is due to the security model that the BlackBerry was built around).

Thnx bra. If u haven't got Buddyguard u gotta get. It should actually come pre loaded on every BB if not every phone. It allows u to 'lock' ur phone if stolen/lost by sending a simple sms or email to the phn no./email add associated with ur phn. Its the best app I have on my phn. Just search for it in BB app world.

Also search for 'forward reply edit' it allows u to edit an email before forwarding it.
