Blackberry Bold 9700

Thx oronte. I initially added my gmail address associate with FB, so that I could proceed with FB integration. I have since removed that gmail account from my added mailboxes on my BB, because i'd prefer to use the GMail app on my BB.

I notice that the integration is still working to some degree, retrieving FB info for some of my BB contacts when i open them. But it only works for some people, and not others, even though their names in my BB Contacts matches their names in FB.

Does anyone have a good understanding on what the matches take place? What does the FB app use to sync between FB and BB?
 
You need to connect the contact with their Facebook profile. In the Fb app, go to your list of friends, in the menu you'll have an option to link with your phonebook.

I was busy downlaoding some videos via wifi and suddenly my phne rebooted. Now I can't delete those videos in the video folder. Neither can they play because the downlaod wasn't completed. Happened before and what I did was copy the pics and vids I already had to the phn memory and just formatted the sd card. Is there any other way of doing it?
 
hi guys, is it quite a simple procedure to get a new and larger memory card but retain the data u have on the 2GB card that comes with the 9700? Would you just copy the contents of the 2GB card to your HDD and then copy from your HDD to the new memory card.

Whats a decent size? 16GB? Any idea how much they go for?
 
Oronte, before I could try that I had to reboot my phone because of installing an app and after it rebooted I noticed that those videos were gone.
 
Ryan, your are correct. Just copy to your hdd then to new memory card. Do u really need 16gb? If not, the smaller the better. Not sure with BB 'cause I've till got my 2gig sd card, but with Nokia the bigger cards tend to slow down the phone.
 
I've got this black circle with a red star and an arrow pointing to the bottom left of the screen with a 3 next to it, yesterday it was 2 and the day before it was a 1, anybody know what this is?

Ok seems it was that save option when BIS goes down, like what you said.

I went to messages, first icon on the home screen and deleted it
 
9700 trackpad freezing up.....

Has anyone had a problem with their trackpad freezing up on their BB 9700? This happens to mine periodically.:mad:

Also sometimes after unlocking the kepad the screen will remain blank for a few seconds before it lights up again. This can be frustrating if you need to make a call or send a message and you have to wait for the keypad/screen to unlock..........

Koogs, I have not experienced any of those problems, neither have a heard of anyone else who has. I think your device is faulty you should take it in and have it looked at.
 
whats the most battery life you get out of this phone. im so used to charging my current golden oldie every 3 days. everyday does not sound cool.

blackberry bold / 9700 - R369 a month on mtn - All have R200 airtime and 25 'free sms'
