Blackberry Bold 9700

I have those, apparently Buddy guard doesnt work as per my colleague.

Another, I have keypad tones on and activated that click sound on the cursor...
Why does it still stay on in silent mode and when the keypad is in lock mode. Kinda irritating!!
 
Buddyguard works like a charm. Not sure abt ur keypad tones, I hav mine permanently off

No complaints here dude. Only they could have done better with the browser, but according to oronte (and I've read somewhere too) there's a new browser coming out by september I think.

I got the E72 and the Bold for free, I prefer the Bold. I only have one pet hate, its that if someone hangs up a call, it doesnt beep or make any sound... Grrrr
 
When I get really long emails at a certain point I get 'more' in blue at the bottom of the page. If u put the cursor on it within seconds the rest of the email appears. But if its a really long email, after getting the 'more' thing a few times and successfully retreiving more of the email I get a 'truncated' in blue. Put the cursor there and sweet nothing happens. I have to see the rest of the email on my laptop. These emails have no attachments, and I'm using gmail.
 
Radio

Does anyone know if it is possible to pick SA radio stations (like 5fm, 702 or 94.7) through your BB by an app or otherwise?
 
Oh yes I do that too. That sucks! Oh what I also do is select the plain text option that also works. Bt I'd prefer to view the whole msg as is.
 
satnav GPS

How do I install / download / use the SatNav GPS on my 9700? My BIS was only activated this afternoon and I don't see SatNav or GPS anywhere. Sorry, haven't read the manual yet... :o

I assume you are on Vodacom. Check in the downloads folder, otherwise it should be available via the App World application.
 
This phone gets more and more impressive by the day. Have setup all my email accounts and to top it off found out that work has a BES server so got that setup today as well! Is anyone using the Facebook app? I am finding it a pity that i have to add the account that I am registered on FB with to my BB in order for the integration with the FB app to work properly. Is there any work around to have the integration working properly but not to have your FB registered email added? Am contemplating changing my FB notification email address to something that is only used for FB notifications. That way when I see the star icon on that mailbox in my BB menu then i know it's only FB and it can be ignored without missing critical :)

Oh, and the Sat Nav is very cool. ONly used it a couple of times but pretty cool how it tells u the street names.
