You would pronounce my name as Ka-veer. lol. That's how most people would. Chinese items do not normally break that easily. On the one hand, the last 4 phones of mine over the last 3 years has been chinese imported phones, but the last 2 I dropped one and closed the car door on another. Even after closing the car door and the phone bending, the screen did not break and I bent it straight and used it for another 3 months.
I would not trust the crazy videos on most phones only because the sometimes are unrealistic. I expect the phone to be strong and withstand most general wear and tear and a little more since the phone it built to be very strong. The benefit of locally buying is that you get local warranty, but not sure how good that is as the brand is still very new in the country. I generally import as it works out much cheaper than local alternatives and if the phone breaks, I will replace it. Still works out cheaper then buying a flagship Sammy or LG.
If you want some info on importing a phone, PM me.
