+1. I have now moved Diablo 3 to the "If it is cracked I will play it" list.
I am now rather waiting on Guild Wars 2.

its 2011 , not 2001
In south africa so in effect speed wise it's still around 1995 when compared to the US.
in the back of my mind, i still squint when i think about it in terms of adsl speed.... but its true what you say. my 384 line should be a easy 8mb line by now sigh. i meant that dsl should be available even for people who dont earn alot.

Your forgetting we're in SAyour not really living in 2011 are you?
If all the stuff mentioned here is true I will buy the game and crack it. However, if I have to "buy" stuff to get forward in the game I will NOT buy the game.... As said earlier, I want D3, not Wow dressed as D3
I don't think you understand what the 'online only' involves. Unless things change a lot before release, the game will use client-server architecture a lot like WoW and so you'll need to wait until someone creates an emulated server, like they did for WoW. You won't get day 1 cracks like other games.
edit: here is the link I'm sure people will ask for.
I thought it would be more drm than managed game play (just checking validity instead of playing the actual game through the web) if this is indeed the case I will live without it.
Yeah, I thought the same thing, and that it would just be about characters being stored online and certain things validated, but it really looks like WoW-lite, which is disappointing.
Hmm, so I guess I won't be playing this game then. Just like I have not played Starcraft 2 either. Blizzard has lost a fan.
