Hi all

I was wondering if there are any ppl in bloemfontein that would like to start a wifi mesh thing going?

This is how Jawug started... lots of "little" networks springing up, until it was possible to interlink them!

You guys are all welcome to come chat together in our IRC channel if u like! Also, I suggest you all go and register yourselves, and your co-ordinates on our wugplotter tool - www.wug.za.net - Then you can see where you are, and begin plans to get yourselves connected!
 
Well, I haven't received any msg's get. Maybe we should get together or something and discuss exactly how we'll go about setting everything up. I just made a Coffee Tin antenna for my router...just needing some cabling to connect it to my router so that I can test the thing. Have a friend who lives a 100m or so away who'll assist with testing it.

use IRC - thats the best way to talk, cos everyone can talk together

a wug begins with two people putting up a link, and from there it will grow

Has taken awhile. but the first AP is up and running. Please log onto www.wug.za.net and see if you have LOS to Pentagon Park.
