Blood Pressure...

With my BP and heart it's not good to drink coffee the doctor advised me to stay away.

lol

180/100 at the doc yesterday.

Battery of blood tests today and doubling up on the calblock.

Double calbloc did not agree with me at all. Starting prexum plus tonight.

150/90 this morning. Still feeling a bit kark from the calbloc. Horrible stuff, that.

Blood Pressure is a physiological (body reaction to a variety of stimuli ) and acts as a coping mechanism to ensure adequate blood (and oxygen ) reaches the important bits ...

With Stress BP can oscillate significantly as it can depending on the time of day , your emotional status and dietary status. When taking BP THREE RULES APPLY

1. Wait 10 -15 min before taking it
2. Take three repeated measurements preferably 3 min apart
3. Take BP on both arms

If an automatic machine was used and Diastolic above or = 90 then do manual BP AUSCALTATION

Repeat BP MEASUREMENTS over a two to three week period if your concerned

Exercise , relaxation sleep primary avoid caffeine

Keep healthy

If you are worried that you suffer from high blood pressure (my wife does), get yourself a home blood pressure monitor (wide range available at Dischem for instance). Then you can monitor yourself

Funny you should mention this. I've had an Omron which I bought about 5 years ago and used it everyday along with the iPad app. Used to send to to my specialist physician once a month. Had to change my physician who changed my meds. Now it can't register because my Pulse is down at about 35. Seems to work on nurses a Dischem but not me.

No meds - 105/65 on waking up and 110/69 after light cardio.

I have naturally low BP and often struggle on leg day in the gym with squats. Seated or lying leg press - no prob, but when I'm vertical, I have to start leg day with squats to get through it.
