What would you buy?
2011 M3 Coupe Dynamic D-CT with 23k on the clock for R 740k OR
2014 M3 Coupe D-CT for R 935

I think the three years more on the motor plan will make quite a difference?

What you guys think?

The R200k also makes a difference

The V8 if you've never had one, especially seeing that you're at sea-level; it's likely BMW's naturally aspirated M-flavoured swansong. The new one if you've owned the V8 and the R200k difference doesn't phase you.

If it was me I'd get the M4. Whats 200k when you have 1 bar to spend on a car.

The 2014 will be the current spec. It will just be registered as a 2014 ( 2013 Spec )
So both will be a V8 :)

No the M3. It is a 2013 spec but it will be registered in 2014.
So it will still be the V8 motor.

Then, perhaps, check your opening post:

Also, if what was alluded to earlier is true - that you're asking for advice on how to spend your dad's money - you should be looking at a car a tenth of those prices.

Shock him...and ask for a much cheaper car. eg VW Polo GTi or Mini Cooper S

That way you have something to look forward to and still have a good car.

MY BAD. That was a typo.
The 435 is around R 750 new. Not sure when the M will be comming.

No, it is not my fathers money. I am asking which one you guys would buy.
Would you buy a used M3? Mileage is low yes, but its an M3.
Or spend R 180 k more and but a new one, I know the 4 Series is out but the V8 is a beautiful motor.

This is the 2011, it really is in good condition.

Would you consider it a better idea to spend an Extra R 180 000-00 to get a new car as opposed to a more affordable pre-owned one?

Just get the 2013/2014 brand new one rather. If you're already spending R740k, an extra R180k is negligible.
