Why not both?

Straight line to the C63
Track to the M3

Based on the previous generation cars, however I think the new C63 might just have it on both counts with the latest generation.

I think F80 M3 has closed the gap on straight line while W205 C63S has closed the gap around the track. Both still reign in their strong points based on head-to-head reviews.

For interest sake, the F80 M3 beats the C63S on two track tests I seen. By small margin. Here is a video example.

Also, C63S beats F80 M3 on straight line by small margin.

Stock for stock I concur with both of replies.

FiestaST, do you think a E93 M3 gives a C63 a run for its money?

They had the showdown in yesterdays Star motoring. C63 wins straight line by .4 of a second but the preferred choice was the M. Better handling.

M cars usually have better handling than their competitors but the C63 has an exhaust note that is just too sweet

MY BAD. That was a typo.
The 435 is around R 750 new. Not sure when the M will be comming.

No, it is not my fathers money. I am asking which one you guys would buy.
Would you buy a used M3? Mileage is low yes, but its an M3.
Or spend R 180 k more and but a new one, I know the 4 Series is out but the V8 is a beautiful motor.

You'll probably lose that 180k within 2 years...so why burn it anyway on the new car?

Well since I see this popped up again there have been 3 cars.
The Pre-Owned one was bought (M3) if anyone cares.
Then I bought a New M135i last year January, sold that in December because of the new shape, 1 Series coming out.
The replacement for that was a New Golf 7 GTI DSG that I bought in January. Awesome car ( It had software and a De-Cat ) but it wasn't an M135i...

So three weeks ago I get a call from BMW to say the New M135i LCI has arrived. Went to go look at it for interests sake annnnnd now I am back in an M135i.
