Boerewors rolls ( some advice needed )

Are we talking past each other? Who did it? Where and when?

that photo posted by @FiestaST , that looks like absolutely vile stuff,
chocolate on a boerie, what madness is this? where is the uproar for such a act?

next thing people will say making mince mate with honey,
just 2 things that shouldn't meet, unless like I say with pregant woman having a craving for weird things.

I'm sure these have been covered but if not, here are some tips:

- Use a dash of water instead of oil. The wors has fat that will create an oily barrier. The water is just to stop it from burning directly on the pan until that fat starts boiling out. Just don't use too much water as it will dilute flavour.
- Sauce: Try chutney with a boerie roll. It's really nice! Another one of my favorites is Chipotle sauce, or something with a lemony zing to it. Even Peri Peri mixed with some lemon juice.
- I like to cut some rosemary from the garden (stalk and leaves) and throw that in there to float around in the fat that coats the wors.
- Rolls: Woolies does amazing Burger and Hotdog rolls specifically made for that. They are VERY soft and worth the few extra rand.

PS: To answer your question around Mustard... YES! Mustard and Tomato sauce is the good old classic sauce combo :)

ok, my next question is Why?
why do such a thing,

or is it like lettuce and chocolate something eaten by pregnant woman during labor?

if so, no judgement, as pregnant woman get cravings, like the ones who eat sand or rocks.

Do you have FiestaST on ignore?

I do have him on ignore....

@FiestaST the post he put on,
where? I don't know? maybe a torture given to Afrikaaner prisoners captured by the British.

kind of like torturing Israeli prisoners with Humus with tartar sauce.:p
Yep I have him on ignore...but that Mexican sauce, Mole, would be perfect. I have had that sauce and it's mindblowing.

Keeping in mind that they use bitter chocolate, the real, raw stuff...not Cadburys...

still cant get over putting chocolate, even bitter baking chocolate on a boerewors roll,
maybe it will be nice, I just couldn't get over the sprinkles.

like I mentioned, nobody would put humus with tartare sauce or hot dogs with honey.
its something so weird nobody goes with it.

Why not...I eat flapjacks with bacon and honey...I eat honey on scramble eggs...it's amazing.

The same as peanut butter and bacon and maple syrup on a waffle...

You can mix sweet and savory very easily...

dont know, maybe its me and my weirdness,
dont eat bacon so that might be why I think its so weird.

It's adorable that this is the boerewors thread so one would assume.

Looks like a Russian or Vienna...which would work with chocolate sauce.
Yeah, it's the colourful sugary sprinkles that push it over the edge tho.
