Bold trackball issue

My 3 week old Bold is giving me stress. The trackball scrolls very smooth and easily but clicking it requires me to push down quite hard. It clicks but to make it actually "enter" requires a significant greater pressure beyond just the "click" sound it makes. Is this normal? It has more or less been like this from day one. Most times I just use the enter button instead . Any thoughts?

Take it back. It should be firm but you shouldn't need to force it.
