Bomb Blast in Jhb CBD

When did this happen? Where did you hear that from?
 
Guy came into the office - said his wife had called him - she heard it on the radio. Nothing on news 24 or the 702 website.
 
Damn, I have to go to the Civic Theatre tonight to watch a show, hope that is not the same place as the civic centre.
 
It was an emergency simulation. No injuries.
Media were under the impression that it was for real till some spark told them it was only a training simulation for 2010.

Well we can't blame them for assuming that it was real, they never notified anyone before hand.
 
The cops pulled one of these stunts a few years back - they were doing a training exercise involving an aircraft hijacking. Also didn't tell anyone.

Yea thats the problem with these activities.
It either causes mass hysteria from the public or a couldnt care less attitude from the people involved.
 
Simulated bombblast without telling anybody...These people don't think things through. If the intl press hears of this before someone enlightens them then that might have repercussions on the markets.:rolleyes:
 
There was nothing there, just saw e-News van parked on the side of the road the techies and the reporter playing pass the 'mike' game.
