BootCamp - which windows OS ?

I'm not impressed, my PC boots in 10 seconds and it uses a normal HDD :D

I declare a boot war! Record it and post here :)
Oh... compare a full boot (where kernel 0 is shut down - only done when you 'select reboot')... that vs a regular boot from shutdown...

Been running Win7 Pro x64 on my MBP for about 2 years via Bootcamp. Never had any issues. Looking to try Win8, but I can vouch for the stability of 7, having never run into any problems with drivers or anything else.

have a work need to install Windows (urghhhh) onto my mac, what is the best option Bootcamp, Fusion or Parallels.. for work it will need to connect to their network and I would prefer to keep everything totally seperate...

Between Bootcamp and VM I ended up going for VM:
- Can switch between OSs quickly
- Bootcamp is either wasting disk space, or not big enough (an issue for a 256GB SSD)

Between Parallels and Fusion I preferred Fusion, although I don't think there's much difference between them.

Edit: In fact, on my current Windows machine I'm leaning towards a simple host OS, and everything virtualized. Makes it easy to transfer from one machine to another.

when at work i wont need to switch between the 2 and as its a last gen MBP 17" i still have 750gb hdd... IT doesn't want to see one partition visible via another, which i think Fusion and Parallels does... loath to buy a windows notebook just for work

The latest patch adds official Windows 8 support for those interested
