Borrow Dial-up Account?

If anyone has a spare 56k dial-up account I could use for a few weeks it would be really appreciated. I just need access to the net from home and it would be a waste to open up a new contract etc... just for these few weeks.

well, it depends how much you download. the 69 is for 1 gig account. You pay them, they give you a user name and password. You can also buy this at any till at Pick 'n Pay or engen garages. Its like airtime, you buy the voucher, insert the user name and password and off you go!

yap, but dail up you only use up to 150mb a month so it can last about 7 months.
 
Huh? I thought 56K dialup were just accounts you pay a monthly fee of Rxx and you can download as much as you want, but it's Telkom you need to pay as it counts as a normal phone call.
 
Yeah I just called support and I was correct. It's R59 a month and it's uncapped. You guys are getting confused between prepaid ADSL and 56K Dialup.

Again if anyone has login details that they willing to lend me...Please PM me :D

lol, but you can use the username and password for dail-up (0860007249)
it worked for me at my home computer.
 
VOX are allowing free dialup via there 087 numbers it's nice to use when you are in a spot and need dialup internet access quickly.

* Password: free

If you want a free SAIX 56k/ISDN64/ISDN128 account with no support (you should know your settings & write them down), no email address (go to gmail, yahoo, hotmail), nothing. PM me and I'll send you all the details you need to connect.

Access via the normal SAIX number national number, username and password whatever you want.

There is only 1 catch, you must use it. Say 10 hours a month, works out to 20 mins per day or so.

Lets just say I'm in the christmas spirit this year. And this offer will last as long as I'm in a good mood.
 
The VOX thing I came across when looking for alternatives to the 0866 fax to email numbers, they offer free fax to email accounts as well on their 087 range.

Are you sure its on the 087 range? They keep talking about 086 numbers on their site. There's also an 087 number you can dial and make 'free' international calls from, can't remember what it is.
