Bosch Dishwasher Error

I was not referring to the rinse aid and salt symbols as those are not errors they are just warnings, the machine would still run even if those are not addressed.

I was referring to the l:l symbol on the display that kept flashing.. but I went home now unplugged it loosened the water inlet cleaned it out and fitted it again and the error is gone so I assume water pressure/ hard reset from unplugging for 5 mins sorted it out l.

That would have lit up the water/tap icon if it’s pressure related.

Generally before looking for new errors fix the ones already there.

The manual does cover what all the numbers mean, but you need to have a German mindset about it and say click with a K. 🤣

I've never used any of those after it ran out the first time.
Salt not needed as our water is fine.
I find my glassware looks way better when not using that (money making) crap known as "rinse aid".

;) ;)

Then you need to configure it to stop asking for it which is an option in the menus.

I only ever use Finish Ultra tablets and salt, nothing else works properly.

Salt still helps even at the lowest setting regardless of good water.

True I would agree to fix errors already there, but as mentioned rinse aid and salt are not "errors" the manual even says add Salt to soften water if needed. The machine will run as usual if you never add Salt or rinse aid, and if you use all in one tabs they normally include salt in the tablet.

But I would lean with the assumption that it's an error 11 and unplugging the machine reset the sensor which fixed the issue.

Edit: Not to say one shouldn't add rinse aid or salt, rinse aid generally makes the dishes come out just that much better, I just mean the machine would run if you don't address them.

Cause of my Bosch errors, Series 6:

1 - most common too much salt, the Bosch repair guys told us their most common callout when we got them out, still under warranty.
2 - is the screw lid to the salt was not screwed properly
3—the plug was burnt .... yeah, moisture on the plug top caused some burning and it no longer created a safe connection.

You might want to also check the pump, might be something stuck inside. We have that problem with our first Bosch and our Bosch washing machine (coins).

Clean out the trap first, it can get gross. Then if that fails, take off the side panel to access the pump. You can google official Bosch howtos to do this.

While they do give problems, we stick to Bosch as we can always solve them.

I remember, that was the same error we had on our first Bosch, similar model:
