Well I am trusting in the spider to pull it off. Combat sports, MMA in particular has become dull of late looking at Izzy, volk, khazmat .etc

Let’s hope for an unexpected result to breath some life into combat sports or it’s going to be like watching F1 when schaumacher was top of his game. Booorriinggg!

This. One of the reasons I love Usyk. Moved up a weight division to get harder fights, constantly calling out fighters considered the best. For a long time having them avoid him due to fear of his talent. Getting tired of these top fighters who fight the same person 2 to 3 times in a row rather than moving on to a new and more interesting match.
 
indeed... who needs to see fury vs chisora 3? the guy is helping out his friend with pension money and is clearly ducking both AJ and usyk

silva paul didnt surprise me... def not a real fight

Loma maybe showing his age, but still beating bigger guys. he needs to fight haney asap and claim undisputed.

agreed, I am so so disappointed with this junk. He needs to make one of those fights (Usyk preferably) and then he can keep flapping his mouth.
I actually think Wilder is dangerous as hell right now and would like to see him fight AJ

Silva / Paul fight was awful, I am so tired of these fights and the money these guys are getting from it. There are far better sports and athletes that could do with the money than this rubbish

its a microcosm of what is happening in the SPORT of boxing... which is a total shitshow for the last how long.
Winners are determined in the contract negotiation and not in the ring. Because we dont have a level playing field.

As far as tyson is concerned.... over him. hes just holding onto that belt to prevent usyk from gaining undisputed. they hate that either the US or UK doesnt have belts... and also that their champions are really not as good as advertised.

We wanna see the best vs the best. not money fights. or fights set up to protect boxers records
 
So tomorrow is Kevin Lerana vs Dubois for the WBA heavyweight belt. Easily the biggest fight of Lerena's career, and he will be fighting on Dubois home turf at Totenham stadium as the final undercard before the Fury fight.

Anyone know how to watch it from SA? I see its on ESPN+ which I hear is an option if you do VPN but was curious if anyone knew of another option perhaps.

I honestly dont know if our boy Kevin is ready for this monster. the size difference is concerning. looks like they are feeding a dubois comeback narrative.
That said, Joe Joyce showed us how overrated Dubois is. He couldnt handle a quality jab. personally i think hes a hype job... but we'll see

nothing on SS ? otherwise theres the high seas

Good point. Never thought of boxing via high seas. Not supporting Multichoice on this one thats for sure.

I have watched Lerena for years and he has a defensive tactical style. Its going to be an issue with the reach difference of almost 10 inches. He is going to have to push in and lay in damage up close. Still, plenty of boxers have taken down bigger guys without much difficulty but they tend to be bulls like Mike Tyson. Lerena is more a tactician than an infighter. Still. I am sure he has a plan. Just hope it works out for him! Would be great to see a SA lift a heavyweight belt again. My biggest worry about Lerena is he tends to aim for single punches rather than combinations so he can fall down the points ranking. Complete opposite of a guy like Usyk who is known for his endless combo's. Usyk lays out a lot of punches and wins on stamina in the later rounds often. In this type of fight Lerena needs to follow up the blows that land and land some combo's which he sometimes fails at.

Ja hes got a bit of a peekaboo so its an aggressive counterpuncher style. Hes not a crazy brawler by any means. Its meant to be Tyson-esqe, but like you say, he doesnt always get the combos going. Hes getting better tho. I hope he takes this.
