Boxing

The amount of celebrities the Saudis flew out to the event is unprecedented.

How much money have they spent on this event? Must be a crazy amount.
 
That could have gone either way. Realistically they were never going to give it to Ngannou, but he represented himself extremely well.
 
Sorry Ngannou had that. I know he wasn't supposed to, but he had Fury.
 
Never liked watching Fury. Just looks so awkward in the ring. I know he has skills, but I would rather watch someone like Usyk. If Fury does go up against Usyk he will lose.
 
These gimmick bouts are turning boxing into a joke. Fvcking disgraceful that the reigning WBC Champion had such a hard time with someone that has about a year's worth of training as a boxer.
 
Tell you what, Ngannou is tough. He weathered some heavy punches and didn’t even look shaken by them.
 
lets be honest guys... this was an exhibition fight and not a real fight.

Fury carried ngannou. same way floyd carried connor.

He didnt pull the trigger alot of the times he had him open. The knock down didnt really seem to bother him either. he just looked lazy and unfit in this fight... glorified sparring session if you ask me.

I dont think he carried him to be honest. Fury looked.....high ... I dont think that was even close to his capability, but he didnt look sober or normal in that fight.

Floyd at least didn't make boxing look like a joke. After playing with Connor, he turned it up and made it very clear that Connor was out of his depth in a boxing ring.

Fury beat Deontay Wilder, one of the heaviest hitters the heavyweight division has ever seen, and then goes and makes a fool of himself and the sport against a nobody boxer? Disgrace.

The reality for boxing is that it has been down in the dumps for so long, corruption, weight draining, A side / B side, money fights over best vs best at their best etc.

MMA has come and put them to shame. This fight was WWE at its peak. Ngannou was ok, but lets be real... no head movement, shocking footwork and a punch output that your granny can comfortably beat.

Fury carried him... wouldnt be surprised that money was put on a knockdown, it going the distance, etc.

Go and watch it again, hopefully it doesnt put you to sleep but watch how many times francis is wide open, or his feet are together, and fury just doesnt pull the trigger.

For a guy that knocked wilder down a total of 7 times, its hard to believe he couldnt beat francis. who in all honesty looked like a bum.

not taking anything away from francis' MMA... but you cant rate a MMA fighter by trade in boxing,... it just doesnt work that way... thats why even jake paul can beat MMA fighters

this is why i disagree with teddy atlas when he told joe rogan that mike never overcame any adversity and only had easy 1 round ko fights...

he had a few wars where he really had to dig deep. this was one of them

I think that's more a case of their history. There is the allegation that young Tyson was sexually inapporpriate to one of Teddy's younger relatives which resulted in Teddy pulling a gun on Tyson and being fired by Cus D'Amato over it.

Tyson fought just about everybody that was put in front of him in the 80s and 90s at a size disadvantage, and that era was loaded with skilled heavyweights.
