iPad 3. Boy iOS 7.0.4 sucks. Things are just slower. I disabled the parallax feature but things just lag and not all keys, eg when typing in the password register. I have to type extra slow. But the worst gripe is that you can't browse new apps in the App store. How do you guys browse for new apps? Unless you search for something specific or look at the "Best" or "Most Popular" the selection is poor. Only possibility I guess is to search for "game" when searching for games and then have the results sorted by "Release date".

iOS 7.x and iPad 3 don't play well together.

Same with iPad 2. I mean it looks good but it is sluggish. Sometimes when I type I'm too "fast" for it or something - misses characters, inserts random character instead. And the Facebook app is slooooooowwww but that might be app specific.

Need to upgrade.

FTFY.

Get real and get a real device.

I challenge you to use a 1000+ page pdf on any other device( including the all so loved nexus) and compare it to ios and we can talk about getting real and what a real device should act like.

OP: I hear you on the Ipad 3, I had one for a while then got so frustrated with it that I eventually switched to android and then I switched back to an Ipad mini retina. I dunno what it is about the ipad 3 but it just sucked for no apparent reason at all? Yes the app store is daft along with many of the changes in ios 7 it's like apple has no imagination anymore.

I don't see any difference when it comes to viewing new apps between iOS 6 and 7.

I agree with you. I have a iPad 3 with iOS7 and if I open the App Store, right in the middle is a row of new apps with a "See All" link on the far right. Touching that link opens a page called "Best New Apps" with options to categorise according to Name, Release Date and the default Featured. Works perfectly fine for me.

However, the actual responsiveness of iOS7 on the iPad 3 is not exactly butter smooth. I played with an iPad Air the other day and it was amazingly quick. My iPad 3 is sluggish at times when opening apps, typing, paging through PDF's etc. The iPad Air is awesome but I can't justify upgrading, yet.

iOS 7 is painful to use on iPad 3, not painful all the time but when trying to type it really becomes annoying.

A mate of mine sold his iPad 3 and bought a iPad 4. He said the lag was unbearable on the iPad 3 with iOS7. iOS7 runs flawlessly on the iPad 4 though.

There is a noticeable keyboard lag - if they can sort that out in iOS7.1 then as far as I'm concerned all will be well.

I don't understand this.

I have an iPad 2 and until this week had an iPhone 4S and both run flawlessly with iOS 7.

There must be something specific going on that causes all this stuff.

Not sure: as 7.1 focuses not only on performance, but also correcting a number of UI inconsistencies.

Some estimates say it could be as late as March.

Thanks

March is looking like a good month.

Cricket
Diablo expansion
Ios 7.1

I "upgraded" from 5.x

Now do you see where I'm coming from....

:)

I regret it. I did for one stupid little app. Heck even some games run slower with lags.

Of course I should have know Apple did a Microsoft here....
