Boycott 2010 World Cup

No one seems to be asking the obvious question of this forum... should loonies like this website be promoted on this site? I'm all for freedom of speech, but where's your sense of patriotism... would people be equally allowed to post & link to a fictitious kill_the_you_know_what.com type site. Just asking...because this forum (at least this section) is deteriorating down a very slippery slope. I know in the past this sort of thing was probably the order of the day, but I thought things had changed a bit from the days when most people referred to this site as a racist hangout.
 
I think a liberal was responsible for posting the link to the radical far right website.
Maybe you should ask the OP what his political inclination is.
 
People need to remember that the only people who care about what white supremecists have to say are other white supremecists.

Sites like this are a non-issue.

the only reason i posted the link was because we have all discussed or fought over some if not all the topics found on that website. I did not go looking for the website someone posted it on another forum i am on and i thought i would post it here because we have more freedom here to discuss these topics as opposed to other forums.

If you must know i have not even read the website and only glanced over it.

Who cares? If it’s boycotted, no-one comes. If tourists come, they get a true picture of the country and spread the word in their home countries that the SAn’s weren’t exaggerating – the place is a toilet. On balance, it may be better if they came and returned home as informal ambassadors. Spreading the word (through direct experience) that SA is failing.

I think you'll find that the real fear amongst those repeatedly talking badly about this country is that the tourists will come here and not experience any of what they have heard! They would rather the tourists stay away so they don't see this country for what it really is! After all they would not want the tourists coming and enjoying themselves and spreading the word about how great SA and the majority of it's people are.

A number of our problems stem from the high unemployment rate in this country. Tourism provides jobs for many. Encouraging tourists to stay away just makes things worse. Nothing quite like watching someone cut off their nose to spite their face <shakes head>

You should really remove your head out of the sand every now and again. Try to look around you. There is nothing good or great about this cesspit you call great or good. It is a dump. If you could be honest with yourself you will see that the ANC created a dump, not utopia.
 
I cannot stand soccer so I will not be going, will not watch it on tv and I honestly despise fifa's strong arm tatics. As far as I'm concerned the SWC does not exist :D

Things might look different from atop your black stallion but it does not make your view any more accurate than mine.

There is plenty that is great about this country. I find it bizarre that someone, who is apparently still living in this country, can say otherwise. Are you a masochist?

If you were to be honest with yourself you'd see that the "great South Africa", prior to 1994, was only accessible to the minority. The ANC has made great strides in attempting to level the playing fields. Yes, this may have meant some legislation which upset the minority, and they may have made a number of mistakes on the way, but they are trying.

I am by no means an ANC supporter but I am able to see the huge task they have had in "righting the wrongs of the past". You had services that were only set up to cater for 10% of the population!

Would you say that the great South African utopian dream is accessible to the average South African or only to the "Black diamonds"?
The average black person is worse off now than he was before 1994.
He can vote but can he eat?

Probably means that he will also get a turd out of his tap at some point, as is happening to more and more people, especially in the smaller towns, where municipal funds are being diverted to the 4x4 fund !
 
Clean drinking water is something we take for granted here, there are very few places that have potable water straight from the tap.
