I have a Linksys wrt54GL 1.1 running dd-wrt v24 SP1. I used the wifi interface for my wireless clients and it does my routing.
I also have a Netgear DG834GT that has wired lan clients. I currently don't use the ADSL routing or wifi function on this unit.
What I would really like to do is connect the Netgear to the Linksys wirelessly while retaining the AP function of the Linksys. I.e. I want wired clients on the Netgear to be able to access the routing function of the Linksys - NB I can't connect the two routers with cat5 and need to do it wirelessly.
Am I destined to lose this battle?
Initially I thought I could setup the Linksys to connect to the netgear using client bridge mode but I assume I lose my AP function and can't connect to the linksys with Wifi from my clients.... is this correct?
What about some sort of client bridge function from the Netgear side - don't know if it supports it..
Lastly, WDS - I assume I cant do this on these different units?
ANY help will be appreciated!
