So it's okay to kill someone for something they didn't do? And yeah it's not the death penalty that kill the wrong people, but at least without it we ensure that it doesn't happen.
I also fail to see how the death penalty will solve any of our problems? It isn't going to deter a criminal. It doesn't stop more people from becoming criminals.
I'm sure a rapist or murderer stops before they do whatever it is they're going to do and goes, "Wait, I shouldn't do this. If I get caught, they'll kill me."
Besides, the death penalty is useless unless you can actually get a court to hand down a life sentence because if they don't hand down a life sentence there is no way the death sentence will be handed down.
Whatever the solution to our violent crime problem, the death penalty isn't it.
Where on earth are all these people with absolutely no regard for human life coming from?
