Agreed. perhaps that's why the second Maigret seems to be lost in limbo.

Must agree. For me Endeavour was a much better production of a very similar theme and style of "detective stories" from earlier eras.

Foyles War and now Endeavour are simply the best. Honeysuckle Weeks from the former is simply edible.
