So I managed to damage the thin yellow fibre lead that plugs into my fibre terminal. Anyone know where I can get a replacement without having to wait for Telkom? I'm in the Centurion area.

Can you post a pic?

I've used these guys in the past to get fiber leads, but they're near Randburg

Else, PM me, I know a guy (works by himself) who has spliced fiber for me a few times

Not sure if this is clear enough. It feels like it's snapped inside, as it bends very easily at the damaged area.

Thanks for the replies, will phone them all tomorrow.

Just get another patch cable from scoop or some other company. Buy multiple.

Make sure that you match the colours of the plugs on the end too since they're colour coded.

You can get those from most of the places mentioned in this thread, they're not expensive and plug and play

I don't think HD cabling will have though

Thanks. Tried a couple of places yesterday including Communica, HD Cabling, Telkom shop. No joy.

As luck would have it, I ran into another customer at one of the shops with a contact that can help me out. Will give Scoop a try if I don't come right with him.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

Bought a cable from Scoop today and sadly it doesn't work. Only after more Googling now did I learn that you get different kinds of SC connectors, and that the colours may indicate this. The one I need is an APC 8°/9° angled connector, which I don't see at either Scoop or Cable Applications.
The search continues...

Yes, the green indicates Angled. The patch lead in picture is from Dartcom. I'm not sure if they sell to the public, give them a call, they are based in R21 Corporate Park in Nellmapius drive.

Thanks. Will give them a call. Can't believe it's turning out to be so hard to find.
