Hi Guys

Very quick one, I dropped my XP installation disk and it broke. Is it possible to source another disk from somewhere, or download an image?

I'm not looking for a cracked version or anything like that, I have a legit key that came with the original disk I broke.

I got an original XP Pro retail CD here, but don't have access to a CD-Writer atm. :(

Maybe somebody else will be able to help?

Sane happened to my father in law. MS supplied the replacement cd for free but he had to pay for the postage from JHB to PE.

So if you can fetch it, it will probably be for free.

Yeah it is, but distributing it isn't lol. Will search my sources later on today on my PC, just PM so I don't forget. One more thing, should it include SP1/SP2/SP3 or no SP?

True that, lol, so will PM you.

The disk I have includes SP1

Download ISO. Verify MD5 to make sure nobody messed with it. Make sure you get the right version. Would be less hassle than dealing with SA MS imo.

Total cost ~R50.

I had a xp pro cd that shattered in my cd-rom a while back. I called microsoft support and they gave me a number that i had to call, I only paid for postage R135 overnight and i got my new cd the next morning.

The place i had to call was Bowline in Cape Town. I cannot recall the name of the lady i spoke to but she only asked me for 4 digits from my license sticker and voila!

That would have been useful, I used some link on their website and also had to enter some numbers from the sticker, mine was shipped from Germany though.
