That was really shocking to watch. Holy ****, what I just saw was no longer human behavior. I cannot fathom how mentally *****ed you have to be to hit someone repeatedly in the face with an axe that's passed out / dead.

Horrific, absolutely horrific - whatever the outcome of the investigation into who, where, when

The ability of human beings to savage their fellows is deeply depressing, and once again, emphasises, above all else, my daily sense of thanks that we South Africans were largely able to avoid this type of savagery in our transition to democracy.

Good to see that we no longer just lap up viral videos and that there is a serious attempt to track down the source.

What did this person do to deserve this brutality. I'm so shocked

In all honesty, apart from the presence of the ANC T-shirt, it looks like your typical Mob justice vigilante style killing.
Utterly gruesome though!

Have contacted the journalist from Independent Newspapers with the link to this thread.
Maybe it will help.

From a comment on IOL:

One of the women is wearing a "together we can do more" ANC Tshirt, which was from their 2009 campaign, So it might not be as recent as the author claims

Ja, I also saw that. That scares me because if this video is actually a few years old it means the cops have no idea what happened or that it even happened at all.
Maybe they found the body, but still have no clue how the victim was killed... or maybe they have never found the body.
But it scares the crap out of me that there are casual killers like this walking around about us every day.
I wonder if it comes from that 2008 Xenophobic violence?
