What a crock of a company to deal with.

Tried to pre-order Gears of War 3 and you can't actually complete the order online they send you an email saying
thank-you for your order, we will get back to you after checking if the item is in stock and to confirm payment.
So a day later and no email, so I try to login with the account information they sent me, but it doesn't work, says account is invalid.
Next step is to email glen on the email because it says for any order enquiries please email [email protected] but surprise surprise message comes back mailbox has been discontinued.

So not one to give up, try the land line, and surprise surprise no-one asnwers, reception lady says sorry she doesn't know from what to what, please try and call later.

What a pathetic company

Yep, bt games online is shocking. You should rather use take2/takealot or kalahari. I use those two sites(90% of the time take2) for all my gaming needs.

I have only experienced goog service from them when ordering online. The [email protected] is a no reply address. Try [email protected].

Good luck.

makes so much sense, lets make our customer service email address a no reply address?
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to demand answers from us at [email protected] or phone the orders manager on 011 462 7441

I tried phoning, no answer, besides some clueless receptionist, who couldn't say where anyone was...

Yeh would normally order from Kalahari but BT are supposdly having a midnight event and you get a free gears barby doll with the pre-order

edit: ok got hold of Terry on the phone, full or excuses and reasons why things dont work, so lets wait and see...I do want the gears barby doll

I've had almost the same experience! No Customer Services what so ever!

Same shocking experience here as well. I have spoken with my money and will never buy something there again. I printed my order email out, took it into the store to collect my order and they said the order number on the email was invalid and belonged to another order.

They then proceed to try to sell me the same games at the full price and not the discounted online price because my order was invalid!

Stay away friends - stick to Take 2 / Takealot.

hmmmmmm, worrying indeed
I will quite pissed off if I go there at midnight and something goes wrong....

I have had horrible experiences as well! No confirmation emails, no replies. This has happened time and time again. Plus their site sucks something awful. Stay away people.

Which is why they are and always will be a last-resort company. Why certain publishers feel the need to make collector's editions exclusive to them remains a ****ing mystery.

They are the WORST retailer and etailer in the country. Period.

My criticisms have vastly escalated since then :p

I complained at my local store as only one of my orders went through (online prices where R50 cheaper).
The confirmed that there are known problems and the biggest being the developer - he is the father of the owner of BT! Goes to say. From the staff I heard he is one of those "Don't tell me how to code!" guys.

Hmmm, the plot thickens! Not very clever of the Bt games owner, its too personal doing work like that with family. If its ****, you can't really go up to them and tell them its **** and redo it.

so should I pay them or not now that I received the order confirmation? I really want the gears barby doll!

Pay them, wait for invoice, print invoice, take it into store. If any problems arise after that take it out on them. At least your nose is clean.

Their system sucks but I usually just take the option to collect in store and pay in store at the online price. They've never given me any hassle about giving me the lower price.

I also gave up ordering from BT-Games online a few months ago. The entire web site needs to be re-done. I don't understand why companies like BT don't invest in a company to re-code their web site, take a look at other online Gaming stores and mimic what works and what doesn't.

We are in 2011 and BT's web site looks like it was designed in 2001 at the very latest...I just don't get it. Why not spend x amount for a brand new design and system(CMS) that actually works along with online tracking # of your shipment etc etc.

I just don't get it...Losing a lot more money and customers with their current design for sure.

Thanks, have emailed them with a ref to this thread. I prefer ordering online from them as I buy the sub R100 PS3 games for the kids (I only ever play BFBC2 on the PS3). I'm also concerned about my BF3 pre-order as I will be rather unhappy missing out on the action.
