BTGames online ordering nightmare.

I also gave up ordering from BT-Games online a few months ago. The entire web site needs to be re-done. I don't understand why companies like BT don't invest in a company to re-code their web site, take a look at other online Gaming stores and mimic what works and what doesn't.

We are in 2011 and BT's web site looks like it was designed in 2001 at the very latest...I just don't get it. Why not spend x amount for a brand new design and system(CMS) that actually works along with online tracking # of your shipment etc etc.

I just don't get it...Losing a lot more money and customers with their current design for sure.

Oh my... Vio, you and I finally agree on something! THAT'S HOW BAD YOUR SITE IS, BT!

Agree with previous posters, btgames online is terrible.... the service i have received from the staff at the Claremont branch is not much better either.
The staff i have encountered seem to be the sort that will happily chat away among themselves or finish/continue a conversation while a customer is standing at the counter.... this takes some doing as the shop is extremely small. I rather buy my games online and only buy at bt when there is a deal i cannot get elsewhere.

Seems to be a general problem. Same thing happens at Tygervalley branch.

I'll never buy from BTGames again. I was informed by one of their workers that their staff are not "permitted" to check reviews for customers. So essentially they must sell **** to customers regardless. Online orders are terrible. Website is terrible. Pre-Order something and you MUST collect it on release day or you lose your Pre-Order. Disgusting.

I've also been to the Claremont branch during the week and experienced the same lack of service there. On the other hand though, I took the kids to the V&A branch today and the guys there were much more helpful. They even went from customer to customer asking if they can be of assistance.

I'm so on the fence here, still not sure if i should pay my pre-order or just go safe with Kalahari.

Go Kalahari. The last thing BTGames care about is you, the customer. All these little discounts and bonuses are all nullified by their overpriced games and thieving pre-played trade in system. Bt Games is like the CoD franchise; just there to milk it.

dal2000, wrong, wrong and wrong, i work for BT GAMES, and i do know the in's and outs of the system, only reason for not responding to this thread was because i first wanted to post the thread link to the directors to follow up on this problem, so voicing your opinions is great. As for customer reviews, we are allowed to follow up on reviews, check and search reviews, we are often sent actions within the system telling us in's and outs of the games, we have a website with story line details too, and generall areas where you would find reviews, believe it or not we look in the same places to, we have many a-times not sold a DUKE NUKEM game, or the latest RUGBY advising people to wait for RUGBY CHALLENGE before they make a choice, so point one is wrong, second you DONT have to collect it on release day, where ever you heard that i dont know, pre-orders are subject to a WEEK after release date, within that week your pre-order DLC iteam and 10% price will be granted, after that you will loose your special discounted price and just pay the normal price, the system is good as you dont have to pay any advanced fee for the title and you loose nothing if you dont come and collect it

It's lose not loose......

Ok, lets put BT to the test, will complete payout of the pre-order Gears, will be back on this thread on the 21st, hopefully with game and barby in hand.:D

Now that that's done, I cannot believe that you can post here representing a company, and firstly disagree with everything in the thread, make no apologies, and then spell and format your message so incredibly badly.

This is 2011, get a spellchecker.

In other news, I've had exactly the same experience with their online system - No answers, no replies, nothing. Eventually told the guy who called me back ( two days after I cancelled the order by email ) where to shove it.

Zaps Online is my current store of choice for picking things up, I haven't used them for deliveries yet, but I've always had my order 1-2 days after placing it, and on the day ( midnight for launches ) for pre-orders.

Got to disagree with the tread.

I purchased from BTGAMes and always had good service. Yet to have a missing order or problem.

On the 3 times I've contacted sales via e-mail I've gotten a response within a day. Just my thoughts.

bullzeye.za so glad you have the time to sit there and get every single spelling error i make, wow should go work at the press, clearly this is 2011 hey, look we even have users who are spell checkers and besides why should i type the way you prefer, but the looks of it you clearly understood it didnt you ? and i dont represent my company i work for them, im stating wrong accusations against the company that are in actual fact wrong, as for the website go to the head of BT GAMES to discuss that because its a issue on its own, i for one get all my confirmation emails and so forth and like mightyMuffinMan i haven't had a problem to date, competition is out there for a reason and if you find them better gladly take your business to them....

My pleasure.

And just to point out - You as an employee should never, ever insult a customer ( ex customer or otherwise ), it shows bitterness and terrible customer service.

Thinking BT Games should get an official rep in here pronto ...

And where's my BF3 beta damnit!

thanks, do me a favour and go around correct the other million threads on here too, thanks, and you as a citizen you should have respect for a fellow human themselves, outside of work im a human, and i can speak my mind, im not taking on this thread when at work and have no work relevance here at all...So i think before i am told about customer respect, equal respect should be granted, if you had any idea of the person i am, you will realize the friendliness that i carry with me, but when it comes to other being disrespectful its where the line is drawn, and do i look like a customer service representative ?? im like a ordinary member here like everyone else

as to biometrics, i have forwarded this, and hoping this will be addressed, as i said i unfortunately cannot help any one bit on website related problems, but i can only address store and staff problems you might have experienced in store, ill push this along tomorrow

And to reiterate, I never once insulted or disrespected you.

What I said was that you as a representative:

Should not be hostile toward customers, no matter if you agree or disagree.

You cannot possibly know the experience of every single customer and what other employees have and haven't told them, wrongly or rightly. If you didn't want to have your position associated with the company, then you shouldn't have mentioned it.

You'll only gain yourself and the company a bad reputation. Which store do you work at?
