My only gripe with Buffalo is that they are sending parcels via Paxi. Having to go find a Pep store that I've never heard of in the dodgy parts of town is not ideal. Do they still do 'to the door'? Or was I just unlucky with my last delivery?
10-14 daysPlaced my first order with Banggood today. It's been split into two deliveries and both on the way via Buffalo. Hoping for the best.
Banggood says it has shipped - how long should I expect delivery to take?
Can take upto a week before tracking number live on buffalo website , seems they take time to collect, but from therr normally fastWhen I view my order on the banggood mobile site it says "not tracked", but there is a tracking number on the desktop site.![]()
Sorry to jack this post, but i'm wanting to import a Xiaomi phone on Banggood, but use the Buffalo courier service as I have seen it mentioned here a few times. I have a few questions:
1. How does the process work? Do I order and send to a Buffalo Hub in China/Hong Kong or whatever?
2. What other fees will I pay other than the shipping costs from Banggood?
3. Does Banggood change the price of the invoice for customs etc?
4. Any other info I really need to know? I don't mind waiting.
Thanks
- You buy on banggood and they'll arrange with buffalo for the pick-up from their warehouse (it's the standard delivery option to SA).
- You'll pay import taxes and VAT, although there is an option to pay these on checkout.
- I have no idea. I don't think they have any incentive to be dishonest.
- Not really. It works.
HI, thanks for the reply.
1. So the 10-15 day shipping option they give you is with Bufallo?
2. DO you know what these rates are if I may ask? May not be worth it in the end.
3. Cool. Makes sense.
4. Awesome.
I'd go with at least the shipping insurance.
- Correct
- That would depend on the item. VAT is 16.5% (15% of 110% of the invoice value). Import taxes would depend on the product you're importing.

Be careful purchasing that model it is CN version that means it is made for china and not the global market. I think some apps will not work and it is impossible to flash it but I not an expert.Okay cool. It's a cellphone that will cost R3300.
I'm a bit confused as I see on some threads guys are talking about tax free options etc. Some are only paying minimal duties or customs or something.
I've attached my cart. Selected Insurance and tariff insurance (apparently up to 60% of import duties).
So is it possible that they might charge me some fees, they might not?
Sorry for all the questions, I just like to know what i'm dealing with and variables and whether it's worth the risk or just buy a similar phone here for more.

There's probably a reason for this. It could be as harmless as licensing, or it could be that it won't work on our systems. And what do I do if it says "this item does not ship to South Africa". Is there a way around this?

Did you find any other phones that ship to SA every phone that I looked at would not ship to SA.
